Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Keller.
Hi Kristin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Kristin Keller and I am a full-time Marketing Manager at Hallmark Cards, Inc and also run my blog/social influencing business on the side that’s called “Royally Runway Ready”. I’ve had my blog website since 2018 and have gotten the opportunity to work with some really cool brands (Toms, Sherwin Williams, Tide, Sam’s Club, etc.), but the most rewarding part has been the ability to network and get to know so many incredible people locally throughout Kansas City.
Aside from the incredible people and brands I’ve been able to work with the reason “why” I continue to do my blog & content creation is because it is a creative outlet for me, but I also want to help others by sharing tips and tricks (be it where to eat, what to wear or how to do a project).
A little about me – I live with my husband and 2-year-old Goldendoodle puppy (Kona) in the West Plaza neighborhood in Kansas City. Brandon and I are high school sweethearts and we enjoy traveling, DIY projects, and anything active (riding bikes, volleyball, hiking, etc.). Over quarantine, we purchased our first house and have been documenting most of our house renovation projects on the blog.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Some of the challenges along the way have been the social platforms themselves – they are ever-changing which both excites me and frustrates me all at the same time. I love that it keeps me on my toes and that there are always new features or platforms rolling out, but it’s also tough because just when you get into a good groove the algorithm changes or a feature the platform offers changes.
Another struggle or learning curve was taxes. In 2019, I created my LLC for Royally Runway Ready Blog, LLC, and went through a lawyer to get it all set up. That was the easy part, remembering to document each transaction (credit or debit) has been the challenging part. Luckily, I’ve found a system that works for me, and have a wonderful CPA who has helped me through the questions I had about what all was considered a write-off, etc.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Royally Runway Ready Blog, LLC?
I started social influencing back in 2016, created my website in 2018, and created my LLC in 2019. My business started out being almost 100% oriented around fashion – sharing outfits, “how to wear it” tips, and sharing what is in style or trending this season. As I have evolved, my content has turned more into lifestyle content – it might incorporate my dog Kona, or cover travel, so it has definitely expanded from “just” fashion, to incorporate other facets of my life as well.
I specialize in promoting products or services in a unique/creative way. I enjoy content creation because it gives me the ability to tap into the creative side of my brain to ideate on what a cool, yet authentic way to showcase my love of a brand/product or service.
What you should know: I named my company Royally Runway Ready because I grew up in Kansas City and the Royals had just won the World Series in 2015 when I went to create a name for my brand in 2015, I went with Royally Runway Ready to marry Kansas City with my love and passion for fashion.

My husband deserves all the credit in the world – he has been so supportive of my business since day 1. Always willing to either be a subject of the content or act in a “behind the scenes” manner as my photographer. He also will help me brainstorm ideas or ideate on captions. All around a super supportive guy!
I also want to give a shoutout to the local boutiques who were so supportive when I was just getting started – there are a few who would let me borrow their clothes for photoshoots to help not only support their brand but also to help me create a library of content to pull from.
