Hi Marlasha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Hello everyone! My name is Marlasha and I am the owner of D’Luxe Healing, LLC. I’m a triple licensed skincare specialist, being a licensed massage therapist, esthetician, and nail technician. I am also a certified vaginal steam facilitator and body sculpting specialist! Overall have been in the skincare industry for 12 years now! I opened my business “D’Luxe Healing” 3 years ago and have never looked back! The term “D’Luxe” actually originated from an online boutique that I had for a brief moment called Donay Luxe, which Donay is my middle name and I loved the word “Luxe” for luxurious or luxury! Any business I have will always be of LUXURY! WelI being that I have a background in skincare and being a mommy myself, I had a feeling that Kansas City needed something for working moms, single moms, and/or moms on a budget. A place to go to that you can receive any skincare or body treatment that’s relaxing, personal, cozy, with good vibes! A place where you can get away and get some self-care “ME TIME” in for yourself! That’s when I retired my Donay Luxe Boutique, shortened the name a bit, and opened D’Luxe Healing!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If there’s an easy path, please let me know lol because what road to success is easy? There have been days where I want to throw in the towel, give up on all of my dreams, and go back to working at my desk job. The late nights, early mornings, criticism, doubt from family/friends, blood, sweat and tears of running a business made me simply want to just give up on myself AND my business! Starting out with little to no clientele in a slow season while bills are still rolling in would make any entrepreneur in my industry want to pull their hair out! I’m a mom, so of course I’ve struggled at times and have had challenges throughout my journey but I wouldn’t change it for the world! My daughter has always been my “WHY” to keep pushing forward and to never give up, and that is exactly what I plan to do! I have a motto I frequently use to ‘hold the vision and trust the process’! And with hard work, manifestation, prayer, and BELIEVING IN YOURSELF anything is possible!!

D’Luxe Healing is a getaway oasis where you can come to relax your mind and unwind while taking care of any and all of your skincare needs. I offer a wide variety of services including massages, facials, yoni steaming, waxing, body contouring, and manicures/pedicures. A one-stop-shop for a perfect getaway day! My focus and specialty are RELAXATION! You will never leave D’Luxe Healing without feeling like you’re on cloud 9! I once had a client tell me after her massage that she felt as if she had taken a drug because her body was so extremely relaxed! I just shrugged my shoulders, smiled, and simply said “Welcome to D’Luxe Healing!”

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love the most about our city is the food for sure! I LOVE to eat and we’ve got some well-hidden gems that are heaven! What I like least about our city is the bipolar weather. Lol!

I received a massage at D’Luxe Healing and it was amazing. My muscles were so tight that I was having shocks in my right thigh. It has been 4 days now without any shocks and my muscles feel invigorated. Thank you Marlasha for an excellent job.
