We’re looking forward to introducing you to Katelynn Wampler. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Katelynn, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Who are you learning from right now?
I’m learning from God. I put all my trust into him. I have been struggling with a sickness for about 6-7 months now. God going to get me through it, I just keep praying to him. I am reading the Bible everyday. God is with us at all times, and is here for us.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Life has been a struggle for me. Growing up with my family falling apart, moving constantly, being away from family. God has helped me through it, until I got depressed and ended up in the hospital after Overdosing. After I got out of the hospital I went back to God and started talking to him more. I play on a tackle football team, I play on a college basketball team. I have 4 brothers. My family hasn’t really been that close to me lately, but God got me. My YouTube Channel is WampwampVlogs, as well as my TikTok. My Instagram is wamp_wamp123. I been posting on there and will continue to keep posting. If you need someone to reach out to, please reach out. I have some merch available so if you want to buy some you can, just message me on any of my socials media. I’m currently working on a series on my YouTube and TikTok, and going to be doing a day in life video.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Back when I was a teenager, I had a lot of friends, who I helped and made sure they are okay and was stable brought them in my home, made sure they had clothes on their back, food in their stomachs, a working phone. I got robbed for what I had, never was my friends. It really broke my heart after what happened, but then realized no one is truly your friends. We aren’t brothers and sisters like God said, because we are turning on each other, wasting time on people who we care about, but they don’t care about our feelings, our family’s feelings. To be honest family is there for their own blood family.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes,I have been depressed for a few years on and off, but it started at a young age when my parents got a divorce, and we kept moving schools. In 2018, I took a lot of pills, and I went to work the next day and passed out, and went to the hospital. I was in the hospital for awhile, family and friends couldn’t see me for awhile. I wanted everything to just end, I didn’t wanna be on earth anymore. Ever since I been out of the hospital, I have bene leaning towards God. God is my Savior, and if I ever have problems I’m going to lean towards him.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friend would say, that they know how much I care for others and would put others before my self. I always bend a person who helps others, before I take care of myself. I’m a hard working person, whether it’s work, school, on the court, on the football field. God is there with me, pushing me every step of the day.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop wasting my time on people who aren’t showing the same energy as I am. I would stop helping others, who aren’t even there for me, or helping me out, mentally, physically and emotionally. I would focus on myself, and my dogs. I would grind everyday. I would keep focusing on God everyday.
