Rising Stars: Meet Vitality Health Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaley McKee and Jessica Ho.

Hi Kaley and Jessica; so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My business partner and friend, Jessica, and I met while working in a long-term care facility. Through informal conversation, we realized we had a similar drive to pursue new ways of making healthcare more convenient for patients and providers. With that parallel mindset, we evolved Vitality Health Services.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a challenging road, but perseverance is key! As nurses, we understand that healthcare is inevitably changing and evolving, but sometimes change is hard. Our mission is to embrace the change and offer more convenient services in a way that encompasses all types of patients.

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I am a registered nurse with experience in ER, outpatient care, cardiac rehab, urgent care, OR/ambulatory services, acute and skilled care, LTC, and nursing management. Since beginning my journey as an RN, my goal has focused on experience and knowledge, which is vital in healthcare. Jessica is a licensed practical nurse with her IV certification and CPT. She has experience in LTC, family medicine, endocrinology, wound care, rheumatology, and internal medicine. Patients can expect high-quality care with Jessica, and I’s combined experience and knowledge.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Vitality Health Services makes lab work more convenient for healthcare providers and their patients. This is especially true for older adults who might not be able to get to a lab to have their bloodwork done. They also provide services for large corporate entities and do corporate blood draws. Our services include routine blood draws and UAs, healthcare facility draws, STAT draws, pre-op lab draws, wound culture collection, port draws, early gender-reveal DNA testing, PRP draws, and DOT urine collections.
