Rising Stars: Meet Tony Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Davis.

Hi Tony, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I just wanted to be a rapper after I saw “not afraid” by Eminem 2010 on YouTube on our old computer. Back where you had to be different to be famous. And at that moment, I knew that I wanted to a rapper people fear love and hate at the same time. Right now, I’m just trying to make a name for myself and getting out there. The one thing I say is the hardest is getting noticed when you don’t make music that people listen to nowadays. I swear I was built for the older generation. Hopefully someone will give me a chance and see that I have potential to rise above the rest. Cause I’m a wolf. Signed by yours truly – Apøllø

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not. One of the struggles is getting my music heard. Here lately, I’ve been trying to get my music on the radio in Kansas City but the radio station either keeps dodging the songs I send through the website to them (and I send over like 20) or none will answer the phone and also strangle music I sent them mail with my song on it and never heard back. When I make it big, I promise they bet not play my songs on the radio and strange music better not hit me up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a rapper, nothing more, nothing less. I’m just proud of the music I do even if I never get big. I’m a wolf that’s what sets me apart from the rest. I have nothing left to lose and everything to gain.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In five years imma be so big like Eminem or drake or Kanye level.
