Rising Stars: Meet Tae’Lor Landa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tae’Lor Landa.

Hi Tae’Lor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Tae’Lor Landa and I’m a high school counselor. I just published my first book on Amazon entitled Like A Babe.

My mom passed away in October of 2019. I was her only child and she was my grandmother’s caretaker. My grandma passed away five months after my mom, and people kept telling. me that they couldn’t imagine my pain.

So I decided to create a podcast – The Grief Journal: The Unwritten Pages of My Grief Journey to explain to people everything that I was feeling and give people some tips on how to begin healing from grief and loss.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a fun journey so far since I’ve learned a lot about myself and have grown tremendously. It can be difficult for me to record each episode because I’m retelling my story and reliving the pain that I’ve experienced this far.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My podcast focuses on my grief journey but also the journeys of other people. I wan my listeners through everything that I’ve experienced from the day that my mother passed to carrying out her legacy and everything else in between as it relates to grief.

What makes this podcast unique is that it’s very raw and real. I don’t hold anything back when recording because I want people to fully understand what this has been like for me in hopes that I can relate to others who are also going through grief and loss.

I also give my listeners tips on how to cope with various circumstances as they relate to grief and end each episode with a homework assignment that relates to the topic. By doing this, I encourage healing through the grieving process.
