Rising Stars: Meet Mckenzie Peterson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mckenzie Peterson.

Hi, Mckenzie; we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always dreamed of being an actress and model and never thought I could succeed until my partner encouraged me to try. This was 3 years ago. I started doing small shoots with local photographers like Studio 48 to build a portfolio and went from there. About a year ago, I started applying to agencies to see if I could be picked up, and in August of last year (2023), I was officially signed by Career Images Talent & Model Agency from here in Kansas City; doing so I’ve been able to network within the industry and have walked in Los Angeles Fashion Week RxRunways 2024. I have also walked in numerous other Runway shows and willl be doing alot more coming up this yeas.I’ve been published internationally and nationwide even have appeared in a scripted episode of the cutler’s court as well as Feature films, Short films, Advertisements,  and Music Videos I am so excited to announce multiple new projects in the future in which I will be participating! I also work with the Kansas City photography meet-up group comprising many amazing creatives. Which for anyone wanting to start into Modeling is a great way to network and start doing it

It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not. The entertainment industry is tough to work In, especially the fashion part with the stigmatization of women’s bodies. For example, I am a size Large, which is definitely not pulse size. Still, in this industry, I am considered pulse size, and that can definitely distort someone’s confidence and body image.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to be more familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Model, Actress, Songwriter, and Author. I am signed with Career Images Talent & Model Agency and am a self-published author. I am most known for my modeling and acting skills. What sets me apart is my level of passion for my arts and crafts.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I was raised in Wiesbaden, Germany, and I have double-jointed hips.
