Rising Stars: Meet Madison Welty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Welty.

Hi Madison, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started cosmetology school in August of 2019 and started as a wedding stylist in November 2020. I had quite a different hair “upbringing” because 17 weeks of my cosmetology school journey was online through the pandemic.

My first job out of school was at Posh, KC where I learned all of my wedding styling techniques!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I went to school through the pandemic and started as a wedding stylist amidst all of the craziness, but I have been very lucky to grow my career as fast as I have!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a professional wedding/editorial hairstylist!

I am known for my boho style especially when it comes to hairstyling. What sets me apart from other hairstylists is that I don’t work in a “traditional” salon, I don’t do cut or color I focus on weddings and styled shoots!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I say the biggest lesson I have learned is to not take your time for granted, life is too precious to not follow your dreams.

Pricing:

  • Bridal styling ranges from $75-$100 depending on the style.
