Rising Stars: Meet Kristian Gilmore of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristian Gilmore.

Kristian, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always wanted to build something through media—whether that was producing, content creation, YouTube, or whatever form it took. The challenge wasn’t a lack of passion; it was consistency. More often than not, I was willing to stand in my own way.

Eventually, I had to be reminded of who I am. That reminder came through my faith in Jesus. I realized that the purpose God placed on my life could never be taken away on its own—I simply had to agree with it. I had to see the value in the gifts He had already placed inside of me.

I’ve always known there was something different about me. Instead of overthinking every step, I decided to pick up my phone and create. I don’t know exactly where this journey will lead, but I’m willing to take my time, stay committed, and trust the process.

I know what God has planned for me is greater than I can imagine. My responsibility is to follow through, remain faithful, and stand firmly on what I love creating. Every video, every piece of content, and every step forward is part of becoming who God has called me to be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a struggle—100%. But the biggest struggles I had to overcome weren’t external; they were in my own mind. My thoughts, my doubts, and my ability to believe in myself often became the greatest obstacles.

The world has opinions about everything. Trends come and go, and people are constantly chasing what’s popular. But when you’re already indecisive about who you are, all that noise can make it even harder to find your footing. One thing I’ve learned is this: don’t burn your own world down while you’re trying to figure yourself out.

Once I learned how to conquer my mind, so to speak, I was able to create so much more. Not perfectly—but consistently. I gave myself permission to make mistakes, to learn, and most importantly, to be seen.

If you’re reading this, let yourself be seen. You were created for a reason. Your presence matters. Your voice matters. You are noticeable, and you are valued.

Another lesson I’ve learned is that your ideas can’t stay trapped in your head. Put a plan in place. Write things down. Experiment. Take chances. Try something, even if you’re not sure how it will turn out. Growth rarely comes from waiting until everything is perfect.

I’m 28 now, and there were times when I felt like it was too late for me to pursue certain dreams. The answer I’ve discovered is simple: no, it’s not too late. As long as you’re here, there is still time to grow, create, explore, and become. Keep living at every age. That’s what life is for.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a content creator, photographer, YouTuber, and aspiring motivational speaker. At my core, I love creating content that moves people toward faith—in my case, faith in Christ—and encourages them to grow, heal, and discover who they are. Whether someone shares my beliefs or is simply on a journey of self-discovery, I want my work to inspire reflection and hope.

One thing I am incredibly proud of is that I never lost my passion. Through every season, setback, and moment of uncertainty, the desire to create and connect with people remained. People are always in need of something—encouragement, understanding, hope, perspective, or simply a reminder that they are not alone. When I think about the healing this world needs, I don’t just think about the masses. I think about the one person who may need to hear a message at the right time. That still matters to me.

I’m not asking people to become consumed by sympathy. I’m asking them to reconnect with empathy—the ability to see, understand, and care for others in a genuine way. I believe empathy has the power to bridge gaps, soften hearts, and remind us of our shared humanity.

What sets me apart is not just the content I create, but the way I communicate values, opinions, and purpose. I want every piece of content, every photograph, every video, and every message to mean something. I want it to reflect truth, encourage growth, and leave people with something worth carrying long after they’ve scrolled past the screen.

If my work accomplishes that—even for one person—then I believe I’m walking in the purpose God intended for me all along.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
This works well as a final closing message to your readers:

Jesus loves you.

You are seen. You are loved. Your life has value, and your story matters more than you may realize.

Do things differently. Go against the grain when necessary. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, step outside your comfort zone, and become the person you were created to be. The world doesn’t need another copy—it needs the unique perspective, gifts, and purpose that only you can bring.

As you get older, give yourself permission to keep dreaming. Don’t let age, disappointment, or past mistakes convince you that your best days are behind you. They aren’t.

It’s not over.

There are still places to go, lessons to learn, people to impact, and dreams to pursue. Life is constantly inviting you to grow, create, explore, and become.

Keep believing. Keep creating. Keep showing up.

And above all, keep trusting God with the story He is still writing through your life. Please follow and reach out for any services I offer would love to connect with you!

That ending feels very aligned with your voice—faith-centered, encouraging, and hopeful without sounding overly polished or distant.
