Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Elizabeth.
Hi Jordan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My life has been a remarkable, grand adventure. I’ve been very blessed to have been afforded the opportunity to travel the world and experience many different cultures.
I came from a military family, US Marines (Semper Fi), so I was always the “new girl”. That was tough sometimes, especially during my teen years. It didn’t help that I was tall, ultra-thin, had braces, glasses — you know the drill, I was an AWKWARD looking bookworm and that made me an easy target for bullying.
Things changed radically for me when I was introduced to the modeling and pageantry industry. I learned how to celebrate my uniqueness and grew to love the body I was born with. Through these experiences, I quickly developed my unwavering passion for fashion and makeup! I love that makeup can transform you or enhance the natural beauty you were born with. Now, I am taking my passions and using them to make every client I come in contact with feel Divinely Beautiful.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Starting a business is never easy and does not come without its challenges. My industry is highly competitive and it can very difficult to establish a name for yourself. Fortunately, I was able to leverage and utilize my pageant experience, along with my extensive modeling background, to help launch my business as a certified Professional Makeup Artist.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What am I most proud of? That would be the fact I did it! I took the leap of faith and started my own business. For years I had contemplated taking all my knowledge and experience in the fashion and modeling industry and putting it to use by creating a business that makes other women feel beautiful and empowered.
I specialize in a wide array of services from but not limited to; bridal, pageantry, photoshoots, commercial, or any special occasion.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Kansas City is awesome, it is a large city that still possesses a small-town feel! We truly get the best of both worlds here. There is always something to do, from performing arts, concerts, winery’s to sporting events — boredom is optional.
