Today we’d like to introduce you to Jermy Tassin.
Hi Jermy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well my name Jermy ‘LUCKYLOU Tassin a recording artist from New Orleans, La. I started dancing at the age of eleven and pursued it an opportunity to join a crew called the body rockers! From there I got an opportunity to do a back up dancing for local artist which inspired the passion to start creating music! Years later I ended up on the wrong path and going to jail which was a turning point after hurricane katrina! Ended up getting save and getting on the right path got back to music and dance made an huge impact in New Orleans and started moving around to other cities with my talent! Move to Kansas City after Covid and been back and forth here doing music and dance ever since!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I suffered so many lost! Death of my moma, kids mom, her sister best friend and mentor! I experienced church hurt, financial struggles as an independent business owner!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a recording artist and as well as a dancer/performer! I handle majority of my business! I have two business record label ermlou records and ERMYLOU inc non profit! I’ve mentored kids for twelve years through dance and music!
Known for making music and dance!! I’m proud that I traveled to frothy states and five countries! My walk with God won’t allow me to do certain things and it shapes my art from the rest of the artists!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Being a celebrity has me networking the easiest thing to do! As soon as I get off stage the people would gravitate towards me so I really didn’t have to go fully into crowds for networking! Finding a mentor was a breeze because I met mind at my job and he invited me to his chruch and the rest was history!
