Rising Stars: Meet Giovanni Walter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Giovanni Walter. Them and their team share their story with us below:

The story of an impossible collaboration.

This collaboration started when Giovanni Walter, the former manager of NANO True Music in Sweden, heard Michael Bogdan (Gorilla Beats) on TikTok. They then connected on Instagram and started talking about beats and ideas to collaborate. Giovanni was the Social Media Coordinator/ Talent Scout, and Michael was the producer for future collaborations.

After a week of talking ideas, Giovanni found Siino. A young rapper from Nigeria with a good voice looking to make it in Europe and the United States. They then started a group chat in which, after showcasing a few beats, Siino was starting to get more and more excited. But when Michael played the instrumental for the song that will eventually become “Expensive,” Siino lost it and wanted the beat straight away. Thirty minutes later, he showed the group chat some lyrics and scheduled a studio session to record vocals for the following day. He sent the vocals to Michael a few hours later, and the next day, Michael had finished mixing and tracking his vocals and presented the first version of the song to the guys.

After hearing this version, the guys discussed a few options for the track. Bouncing ideas back and forth for a few hours, they came out with the version you can listen to now.  Because of Giovanni, who’s in Sweden, reaching out to Michael, who is in Ireland, and then finding Siino from Nigeria, the whole project was done in less than two weeks by three strangers.

Three strangers are coming together and creating greatness in such a short period. Three strangers that have built an undeniable trust relationship and, most importantly, a friendship that will continue to achieve even greater things.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nah, it hasn’t been easy. We were three guys with the same idea. We all worked hard. The amazing part was that we did not know each other. So trust in each other was very important. But that was easy. And this has opened more doors for us to work with different up-and-coming rappers from the US. That will be out soon.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Promo Marketing. I started as a Manager for NANO, a big artist in Sweden looking up Nano Hold On. I stayed focused on what the artist is talking to huge labels like warner music—taking care of all publicity. The last song we put out was Nano -Fathers Love.

Then I decided I wanted to go independent because I write too. Not just the management stuff. But I love to put people together to make great music independently from Sweden to the US, Ireland, and Africa. You name it. Daily, I look for new up-and-coming artists to give them a chance in this industry.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I’ve never been to your city, but I want to and I will. Did I hear great things about it? I have not had anything negative to say about your city.
