Rising Stars: Meet Felicia Morgan of Lees Summit (virtual)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Morgan

Felicia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up I dealt with a lot of insecurities, which of course led me into some not so great relationships. Luckily, I was able to outgrow those but in return I also gained a heart to help others, especially women, realize their worth. That’s when I started my blog and eventually my Youtube channel. My hope is that women who are on their healing journey would feel like they aren’t alone and that even though it can be difficult it is possible to reach the other side of healing and accomplishing your dreams.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have encountered plenty of struggles, including learning to trust myself again. That was a big one and one that I’m honestly still learning. Every day is a process. Being someone that believes in God, of course people will say, but you have to trust God, not yourself. but I’ve learned that in order for me to truly trust God that way I desire, I have to trust that I’m hearing Him right, I have to trust myself to follow the path He’s leading me down. when I lost confidence in myself to make decisions I hesitated on everything God was showing me. So learning to appreciate who I am, myself, the way God made me has strengthened me to know He does talk to me, He is speaking to me, and even if I take a wrong turn, He’s a loving God who will course correct me. and I can love myself unconditionally in that process, even when I make a mistake.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I just recently launched my freelance business offering my writing services to entrepreneurs. For years I worked as an administrative assistant who constantly had to create email campaigns, social media posts, and blogs for others along with a bunch of other work I didn’t like doing. But, I finally decided to go for it and focus on the best parts that made me an asset to those I assisted.

What does success mean to you?
I used to define success by how much one could show off what they had. but now, I have a much bigger appreciation for the things that really matter. You’re successful if you have a loving family, great friendships, all your basic needs met, and peace. If you don’t have peace of mind, it’s not worth it.
