I started LaniKai Photography in 2017 which stemmed from a hobby: I wanted stellar pictures of my kids. My photography journey began with a single high school class, but real growth came from showing up with my camera every day, practicing with my family, and learning through trial and error. As my confidence and skills blossomed, I began collaborating with other people, transforming a hobby into a full-fledged business. Today, LaniKai specializes in fantasy-inspired portraiture—cosplay, boudoir, and pinup—where every session is an opportunity to tell a playful, cinematic story.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In a crowded market, I chose a different path. Fueled by a love of fantasy and cinema, I created LaniKai Photography to offer immersive, story-driven sessions you won’t find everywhere in Gardner, KS. My approach blends cinematic lighting, imaginative wardrobe, and collaborative concepts to help you express a playful, unforgettable side of yourself.
