Hi Cassie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a single mom for 20 amazing years there have been a lot of up and downs getting to where I am. Owning an educational salon has been my dream since I was little, ive always wanted to help people see how beautiful they are and helping younger stylists see how amazing this industry truly is . I’ve been in this industry for over 10 years I have been and educator for many years as well . I’m a specialist in many areas with over 60 certifications,200 plus classes I’ve been to and many more ive taught. Sage is my dream and passion. It is a place where everyone is welcome and appreciated no matter what. We love all humans and treat everyone with equality and love . We at Sage have a level system so we can be within everyone’s beauty budget and have very flexible hours. My team is top notch and the most amazing people I could ever want to work side by side with.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No road worth going down is ever truly smooth. Ive hit every road block possible but it just made me want to fight harder to make it happen and it did happen ! It was meant to be and I couldn’t be happier, no matter how exhausted I am or how hard the next week looks I walk in those doors see my team and my amazing guests and every late night, early morning, blood sweat and tears just disappears into pure joy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are Sage Colour studio , a salon and hair home for everyone in every way . We specialize in color cuts extensions barbering and weddings .. much much more but the list is too long for this form. We are known for our amazing customer service, talented stylists and wonderful atmosphere. I am the most proud of my team and myself. I fought so hard through every struggle you can thing of to make this salon a reality and I was so blessed for the amazing team that we have . We are a collective of talented and passionate people who love this industry and love to make everyone feel there best!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m an open book so if you know me you probably know most things about me. Only thing I can think of that not a lot of people know might be that Ive actually only been on roller coasters once when I was 20 went on an handful at knotsberry farm in cali and never did it again .
