Today we’d like to introduce you to Bucky Beckham.
Hi Bucky, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was an alcoholic for 25 years. When I got out of rehab in 2015 my heart was set on helping other addicts in early 2019 We bought a gym and started Bible Study’s and started privately helping others find sobriety. Since then we have started working with shelter organizations, rehab organizations and churches with speaking engagements and walking beside anybody and everybody that is looking for freedom that only comes through Christ. We now have five Bible Study‘s each week at our gym in our continuing to grow.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There has been many obstacles along the way from moral issues with partners to family struggles that really seemed like Satan was trying to destroy us. But I looked at it as God was trying to build us.. I also own a construction company, which was taking quite a bit of time from those who needed help so the struggle now is trying to produce more money, flowing into the nonprofit to free up time for all who need and desire help.

If I had to say what I’ve known, for it would be sitting down with people and meeting them where they are with no judgment and just help them find freedom from whatever they feel is holding them back. Always pointing them towards Christ and walking alongside them as long as they allow us to.
What were you like growing up?
Loved smoking pot and alcohol. Didn’t care much for School if I had any interest outside of those two things it would be bow hunting. I actually had a lot of drive and if someone told me it couldn’t be done I set my sites on proving them wrong.
