Today we’d like to introduce you to Ally Conner.

Hi Ally, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into personal color analysis is deeply rooted in both my professional path and my faith. As a woman of faith, I believe we are each created with intention and purpose, including the colors woven into our natural design. I began my career as a licensed cosmetologist over 15 years ago, and throughout the decades, I’ve always been drawn to the transformative power of color, how it can uplift, express, and embolden.

What started as a fascination with hair and beauty evolved into a deep dive into human coloration, the psychology of color, and the science of visual harmony. Along the way, I noticed a common thread: many incredibly gifted individuals struggled to feel confident in their own skin. I knew color made a difference, but I hadn’t realized just how profoundly it impacts perception, confidence, and even the way we’re received by others.

That realization led me to pursue the most advanced color analysis training available. In May 2024, after 6 months of rigorous testing and training, I became a Certified Personal Color Analyst through True Colour International in Australia, where I learned the TCI Method, a sophisticated 12-Tone system that blends full-spectrum light theory, Munsell color science, and an understanding of human physiology and psychology. This method allows me to guide clients toward their unique palette of 65+ colors that truly honor who they are, from wardrobe and makeup to home design and branding.

Radiant Color Studio was born out of a calling to serve others through clarity and confidence. Every client I work with leaves not just with a personalized color palette but with a renewed sense of authenticity and alignment. To me, this work is about more than aesthetics. It’s about helping people shine, boldly, naturally, and with purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

At Radiant Color Studio, what I’m most proud of is the depth of clarity and confidence I’m able to help people uncover, something that simply isn’t possible through other simplified approaches to color. Traditional four-season systems do their best with broad strokes, categorizing everyone as either cool (Winter/Summer) or warm (Autumn/Spring). But the truth is, color is far more dimensional than just warm versus cool. Color has temperature (hue), depth (value), and intensity (chroma).

That’s where the True Colour International 12-Tone Method truly sets itself apart, and where I do, too. I’m certified in this advanced, science-backed system that honors the complexity of human coloration. Most people don’t fall neatly into “warm” or “cool.” Many have beautifully nuanced undertones that exist somewhere in between. The TCI Method reflects that reality with 12 tonal palettes, eight of which are neutral, and each represents a unique area of color space.

What truly sets Radiant Color Studio apart is the way I combine this technical precision with a personalized, affirming experience. It’s the ability to not only accurately identify these tones through a systematic in-person draping process, under full-spectrum lighting with drapes that are specifically calibrated, but also to educate clients on what that means for their everyday lives. Our in-person draping process is designed to help clients discover which specific hues, values, and chromas bring their natural features to life. It’s not just about finding your best colors; it’s about understanding why they work. The colors that harmonize with your natural coloring can enhance your skin tone and brighten your features. When someone sees how their coloring creates harmony instead of needing correction, everything changes.

Many people don’t realize that the colors they wear send subconscious messages, creating harmony or disharmony, building trust or resistance with those they interact with. Beyond the one-on-one analysis, I offer an expanded experience that’s truly collaborative. I partner with local photographers, hairstylists, and makeup artists to help clients prepare for life’s biggest moments. Whether that’s a family photo session, a maternity shoot, or an engagement celebration, knowing your best colors also means knowing your most flattering hair tones, and I’m always happy to offer personalized recommendations. It’s such a joy to work as a team to ensure that every visual element, from your wardrobe to your makeup, feels cohesive, elevated, and deeply you.

And while I cherish those intimate sessions, I’m equally passionate about community. I love hosting color parties and events, whether for corporate groups, bachelorettes, birthdays, or bridal parties. These gatherings blend education, celebration, and connection in such a unique way. Watching a room full of people light up as they discover their best tones together, it never gets old.

Something that might surprise people is that I have professional training and a cosmetology license in beauty and aesthetics. I haven’t always felt confident in how I presented myself. But when I discovered the depth and accuracy of personal color analysis, everything shifted. I began to see color not just as a styling tool, but as a beautiful reflection of the way God intentionally designed me.

Understanding what colors bring harmony to my natural features helped me feel more radiant and grounded, knowing I could show up in the world as the truest version of myself. That personal transformation is a huge part of why I do what I do today. I know what it feels like to struggle with confidence, and I know the freedom that comes from embracing how you were created.

Oh, and fun fact: I always carry my personal swatch book with me everywhere I go. Because truly, you never know when the perfect color moment is going to strike!
