Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Compo.
Hi Adam, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a lifelong musician and wizard. I started working in live music as soon as I was able to get into a bar. I have performed almost every task in the industry – I have been a player and a promoter. I have toured, sold merch, and ran clubs. I have bartended and bleached blood off sidewalks.
When the money didn’t make sense anymore, I took my creative and technical skills back to the corporate world where I spent time as Marketing Systems Administrator. When the hole in my soul bottomed out in corporate America, I went freelance. I started working with WyCo Vintage in 2015 and the rest is history in the making.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has never been a smooth road and nothing good in this life comes easy. I feel like I and the people that I surround myself with own the virtues of hard work. There are so many cliches about great sacrifice/great reward and they are true. Nothing in life is given and if something is really worth going for, it’s worth going all the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m proud of running against the grain. I’m proud of never giving in and never giving up. I’m proud of being anti-authority, pro-humanity, anti-establishment, and pro-if it feels good do it. I let the people close to me speak on what sets me apart and what I’m known for. I’m rock n roll forever.
