Today we’d like to introduce you to VCMN.

H VCMN, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
VCMN (Victoria & Manny) is a singer/songwriter duo whose artistry is shaped by way of edgy, alternative R&B, with shades of contemporary pop and rock.

In 2016, we decided to really take music seriously. We both have a background in performance arts, with combined skills in singing, dancing, and acting. So, we started The VCMN Project. At the time, we didn’t really know that it would turn into this.

We definitely didn’t know it was going to take so long to finally complete. However, we truly believe the timing couldn’t be better.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth? Not at all. Besides the stress of everyday life, a lot of living goes on in 6 years!

Musically, we have had to go through our fair share of shady people. But, we’d like to think that those experiences have helped us navigate business a lot better. In our personal lives, we played the break-up-get-back-together game a few times.

You know, when you’re young those breakups feel like the end of the world. We got married. Lost a child and had a rainbow baby. So yes, lots of ups and downs. However, both our losses and our gains helped us create The VCMN Project.

VCMN writes from the point of view of the misfit and nostalgic millennials, bringing a new sultry and comical perspective on life as “America’s New Adults” and what it means to be “Relationship Goals.”

With an enticing and alluring sound backed by an amazing band and theatrics, Vcmn combines the magic of vintage music icons and modern genre-bending tones brilliantly.

What does success mean to you?
The ability to sustain oneself or family by doing what one loves most.
