Hi Thiago, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’d love to! CosmopoliTips NYC started almost 10 years ago as a passion project. When I first moved to New York, I was amazed by the sheer variety and richness of the city’s food scene. After visiting restaurant after restaurant, I found myself sharing my experiences with friends, and over time, I decided to create a platform to document it all. That’s how CosmopoliTips was born—a way to showcase my journey exploring more than 700 restaurants across the city and beyond.

At first, it was just about food, but as my following grew, so did my content. I started to branch out into lifestyle, travel, and hospitality. I’ve had the chance to work with amazing brands, cover events like Lollapalooza Brazil, and collaborate with airlines, hotels, and restaurants. It’s been a wild ride, one that’s given me opportunities to experience everything from Michelin-starred dining to hidden gems, and even to build a presence across different platforms like CosmopoliTips.com, Instagram and TikTok.

Recently, I made a big move to Kansas City, and it’s been a whole new adventure. I’m excited to explore a fresh city, connect with its local food and culture scene, and bring my followers along for the ride.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—like any journey, there have been bumps along the way. When I first started CosmopoliTips, it was purely a passion project, so balancing a full-time job while trying to grow my platform was challenging. The restaurant and influencer scene in New York is incredibly competitive, so standing out in a saturated market took a lot of work. I had to consistently create content that was both authentic and engaging to build trust with my audience.

There were also moments of self-doubt, especially early on, when I wasn’t sure if this could be more than just a side hobby. Navigating partnerships and collaborations with brands was another learning curve. It took time to find the right balance between maintaining creative control and meeting the expectations of the brands I worked with.

Moving to Kansas City recently has been another transition—shifting from a city like New York to a new, smaller market means adapting to a different pace and audience. But all of these challenges have helped me grow, and they’ve shaped CosmopoliTips into what it is today. Through it all, the passion for sharing authentic experiences has kept me going.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the creator and face of CosmopoliTips, a platform where I share my experiences with food, travel, hospitality, and lifestyle, primarily through Instagram, TikTok, and my blog. My work revolves around uncovering the best dining spots, hotels, and unique experiences, with a special focus on New York City, where I spent almost 10 years, and now Kansas City, where I’ve recently moved.
What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity. I don’t just review restaurants or share travel tips; I’m always looking for hidden gems, off-the-beaten-path spots, and experiences that might not be on everyone’s radar yet. My followers know they can trust me for honest insights, whether it’s a high-end dining experience or a casual BBQ joint. I also specialize in creating visually engaging content—beautiful photography and reels that truly capture the essence of a place.
What really sets CosmopoliTips apart is the breadth of experiences I cover. From restaurant openings and exclusive events to lifestyle, Travel, and cultural experiences, I blend high-end with accessibility, always with a focus on authenticity and storytelling.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always curious and adventurous. I loved exploring new things, whether it was different foods, places, or activities. I was the type of kid who wasn’t afraid to try something new, and I always wanted to learn as much as I could about the world around me. That curiosity translated into a passion for travel and discovering new cultures, which is something that has stayed with me throughout my life.

Personality-wise, I’ve always been outgoing and social. I enjoyed meeting new people and connecting with others over shared experiences, which has definitely played a role in my ability to build a community through CosmopoliTips. At the same time, I was also creative—I loved photography, design, and storytelling, which are now key aspects of my content creation.

I’ve always been driven and focused on goals, whether it was in school or pursuing hobbies, but I also knew how to enjoy the moment. That balance between ambition and appreciation for life’s experiences has shaped both my personal and professional journey.
