Hi the Paussa Twins, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our journey started back in middle school. We would take our friends home from school and give them head to toe makeovers. Not only was the process fun for us but seeing the confidence we brought our friends was extremely rewarding. Coming from a family of business owners, it only made sense to turn that passion into a beauty business. After high school, we traveled the country attending seminars taught by the top makeup artists in the industry. Through connections we had the opportunity to work on projects such as the Pre Oscars-Fashion Show in LA and a film, Short Straw. Utilizing that knowledge and experience, we went on to grow our business in Kansas City.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When we decided to become makeup artists, we were not prepared for all the work that it takes behind the scenes. We had to learn finances, customer service skills, social media, advertisement and marketing. It took a lot of trial and error, but it is worth it to be able to do what you love!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are traveling makeup artists based in Kansas City. Our 10 years experience shows our dedication and love for what we do. With our knowledge and experience we want to help others in their makeup journey. We offer a class for the everyday person as well as a class and mentor program for the aspiring makeup artist. While makeup is our first love, we have expanded, adding more beauty services. Claire offers lash extensions, lash lifts, lash tinting and Emily offers luxury experience spray tanning.. We are known for the environment we provide for our clients. Being naturally personable, we make them feel at ease. Almost every client comments on how much fun we have during our glam sessions. What were you like growing up?
We both had fun, outgoing personalities as well as ambition and drive. We had two sides to us, the girly side and the tomboy side. We were little trend setters. When we would try new styles, kids would follow our lead, wearing it the next week. Our friends always said we were the life of the party, especially when we’re together.. We spent our time dedicated to sports and being outdoors. Every summer we would be on our pontoon boat at Smithville Lake and go on a camping trip in Colorado. We attended church every Sunday and today is no different. Our Christian faith has always been important to us.
