Hi Taryn & Ashlyn , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Freshly out of high school, both of us went straight into cosmetology school which is where we met. As time went on, we got closer to the end and took the risk of opening a business at the age of 19.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes! We had lots of support and help from friends and family!
As you know, we’re big fans of Done Darlin’. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a women owned hair salon, both of us decided to be business partners and open our own salon at age 19 knowing the risks we were taking. We range from hair color, mens+women’s haircuts, extensions, bridal hair and etc. We are different because we went straight into owning a business rather than working under somebody for years before opening a business.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
We were both very independent and motivated kids. Ashlyn and Taryn grew up with successful, confident and hardworking parents which shaped us into who we are. Our families taught us how hard work should be done and how to be successful in today’s society.
