Meet SleazyWorld Skyy of Kansas City, MO

Today we’d like to introduce you to SleazyWorld Skyy

Hi SleazyWorld , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began making music around the end of 2020, but I didn’t take it serious until 2022ish. Music has always been in my family heavily, but me being a rap artist I think took some by surprise in a way. I signed to SwitchesTheLabel the summer of 2023 and we have been going up ever since.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a woman in this industry is no joke especially since it is a male dominated field. You have to learn how’s to have thick skin without it changing you. Also being SleazyWorld now I noticed a lot of people in the city were genuinely happy for me and still rooting for me like they always have been, but I also noticed a lot of envy.. which I guess all in all comes with the territory, especially with me being the First Lady of the label. I still wouldn’t change a thing.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Hard work got me here. Period. When I knew this was the path I was taking I hit the ground running. Show after show, interview after interview. If it made sense for me to be there and share my craft I was there. Making music is an outlet for me, but a lot of people don’t know is before I made my own music, I still played instruments and put together events and shows for other artists in the city. To now being S. W. Skyy the things that have changed have changed for the better. Endless nights in the studio, creating beats and coming up with ideas for the whole team is my focus.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best and easiest way to support me is interaction and streams. As an artist most of the support we need is free! I also have merch on the way for my newest mixtape “Thoughts Of A Siren”. I am always down to collab or get some work done. Just send over an email or dm to my Instagram.
