Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Ruch.
Hi Sara, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
This really all started as a happy accident with my favorite Nike hoodie.
It was vintage {aka well worn} and I could not part ways, even though it desperately needed a pick me up. I decided to reverse-dye it, out of curiosity, and it turned out amazing. Every time I would wear the newly dyed hoodie out, people would ask me where I bought it…so it began.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I started Spicy Mango Mom Creatives, I had recently become part of the “Great Resignation” and was evaluating what I wanted to do next. Spicy Mango Mom became the perfect creative outlet I needed while determining my next steps. Eventually, I went back to school to be certified as a Health and Life Coach. While in school, I was operating running Spicy Mango Mom Creatives through pop-up markets and custom orders.
Both of my businesses, Spicy Mango Mom Creatives and Ruch Wellness allow me the flexibility I need for my family. I can truly say, for the first time in my adult life, I am happy with my career path. Being an entrepreneur would have never been on my radar, here’s to happy accidents!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Spicy Mango Mom Creatives?
Spicy Mango Mom Creatives is a custom tie-dye apparel company.
Each piece is hand tie-dyed and made with care. The one-of-a-kind design ensures no one will look like you.
I love to create pieces that make people feel special and unique. My customers know their piece is made just for them.
My brand offers custom ordering for individuals, wedding parties, bridal showers, and collaborations with local businesses.
You can also check my social media for local pop-up markets throughout the year.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I enjoyed music, photography, and art. I rarely sit still and when I do it’s reading a book or creating something. My sisters (and probably my husband) would describe me as loud and bossy.
I would like to call it ambitious and spirited. Our mom always taught us to stand up for ourselves and that we could accomplish anything we put our minds to. I didn’t realize at my age it would be starting a new career as an entrepreneur, but I am here for it!
