Meet R. Christopher Simons of KC Defense Counsel

Today we’d like to introduce you to R. Christopher Simons

Hi R. Christopher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Richmond Missouri, graduated high school in Kearney Missouri, went to William Jewell College for Undergrad and UMKC for Law School.

My parents were sonic managers when I was growing up who became owners of 41 Sonic Drive-ins. My father was the second oldest son of 10 children to a single mother. I learned hard work and the entreprenual spirit from them. I saw what it was like to have no money and to have money.

I created our sister law firm first, Speeding Ticket KC, because I saw a need for people to have an attorney for an affordable price. This was a way to have a good business and help people. It grew exponentially.

I met my law partners, Jordan Watson and Justin Hunt, and we formed KC Defense Counsel. I saw their amazing talents in criminal defense, dui and trial law. Our aim is to help people and we do that daily

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No business ever as a smooth road. Covid and court shut downs was a major challenge. Implementing client systems and marketing always present a challenge. We always are candid in our meetings and address the challenges head on.
