Meet Omega Edwards of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Omega Edwards.

Hi Omega , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey in 2017 as a ravager on Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2. Afterwards, I created a film with Kent Bernhard titled “Street Runners” starring myself, Benzino from The Source Magazine and love and Hip Hop Star which is now an award winning film. I produced and acted in multiple films afterwards such “The Best Day Of Your Life” “The Agony And The Ecstasy” and “TNT Jackson The series”. Once, My career started to get traction in the film industry I crossed over into the music industry as an artist. I was able to release my first single “On Me” shot by Torrey Productions. With streams over 50,000 in a month I then got an offer from GoldToes of GT Digital Distribution and Tito Da Plug from Houston to be apart of Empire. Working with them got me connections in LA with Freeway Rick Ross and David Harris Jr A&R of DeathRow Records. Currently I’m working on a project titled “OZone Show” starring Nikki Brooks, Gene$i$ Moriah Newman, Freckaveli Tha Don, Comedian Maine Maine, Comedian Mike Sampson, Atoya Harris, Damien Belgeri, King Kihei, Dame Dash on Da Slaps with BLE Productions Dave Walker of Kansas City Missouri to help shine a light on the talent from my hometown of St.Louis Missouri to Kansas City Missouri. Also, We are bridging the gap between our cities by hosting events as well to unify both entertainment markets. After doing over 100k views of the trailer we have began to get sponsors from different states asking us to come down and film our show.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some are fortunate to have a smoother road for myself no. The struggle I had was getting people to believe in my visions. Family especially didn’t want to believe in me until they were able to see me if you know what I mean. Especially with my current project OZone Show. When I embarked on this journey I was told that this couldn’t be done as far as unifying St.Louis and Kansas City after so many years of misunderstanding between us. Thanks to the cast, crew and talent that works with OZone..that narrative has changed.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I like to consider myself a courtier. I create, diplomat and delegate for those who don’t know how to. I am known for just being a public display of determination. If you want something in life you have to have the determination to take control of life and forge your success with your hard work and beliefs. I’m most proud of the accomplishments my team at OZone Show has made! They are relentless hard working professionals pushing forward to make all of our dreams come true.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
There’s mentors all around us we just gotta be willing to listen and take notes from anyone. I found mentors in people who were just being good people. Networking starts by listening and learning. For I am a student of the game that always worked best for me. If you are the smartest person in that room, leave!
