Meet Nicholas Costanzo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Costanzo.

Hi Nicholas, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved around and experienced a lot as a kid. I was faced with a lot of challenging things, met a lot of different people as well as learned about a lot of different cultures.

With all of those exposures, I gained a large appreciation for the world and everything that is presented. The good and the bad. When my cousin Chloe got her first camera, a gift from my Grandpa, it piqued my interest substantially.

Though my interest was more directed toward filmmaking I couldn’t help but get involved with photography as well which brings me to where I am today. Working as a free-lance photographer in the heart of Kansas City, MO.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever a smooth road, anything worth your while will present a lot of challenges.

Learning about other people and cultures is just as important as learning about yourself. What builds you up, what breaks you down, and so forth. I would say learning those things about myself was the greatest challenge I faced.

But since I’ve taken the time to do so it has been easier for me to work through a lot of those mental blocks and obstacles.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have a very creative mind, anyone who knows me knows that I get involved with everything I can. Especially when it calls for me to be creative.

I am most well-known for my photography, but I also have a burning passion for the film industry and writing as well. Other avenues I hope I can one day explore in life.

What were you like growing up?
It’s always hard to talk about yourself, to find the words that best describe you. But I grew up fairly quickly and was a very observant kid.

I don’t believe I got involved with a lot of things, or people in fact, when I was young because I would take the time to learn and know what kind of interactions were required in certain situations and etc.
