Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda Bruening. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Miranda is a wife and mom of 2 young children and graduated from K-State with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2009. Miranda grew up in rural communities across Kansas as a farmer’s daughter. She was an active participant in 4H and other local agricultural organizations. It was in these small, rural communities that Miranda found her love for Architecture and Design. She often admired old, historic buildings and imagined bringing them back to life. Much of her experience in rural Kansas shaped who she has become as an Architecture Firm Partner. Outside of her passion for Design, she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Miranda has found a challenge in owning an Architecture Firm as a woman in a male-dominated industry. There is also a challenge in owning a business in a demanding field while also balancing family life.
As you know, we’re big fans of Echelon Arch + Design. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
