Meet Megan Snyder of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Snyder.

Hi Megan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started with wanting to do something unforgettable for my children on their birthdays—something that would remind them just how special they are and that they are seen, loved, and celebrated.
Then, one thing led to another.
Someone asked me to plan their wedding, and even though they were from out of state, I said yes. That sweet couple believed in me so much that they offered to put me through school to become a certified event planner if I was willing to take the opportunity.
I thought about it for a while and finally thought, “Why not?”
That was in 2020.
Now here we are in 2026, and I’ve had the absolute blessing of being part of countless weddings, birthday parties, graduations, baby showers, bridal showers, and so many other special celebrations.
Looking back, I never could have imagined where that one little idea for my children’s birthdays would lead me.
I am beyond grateful for every person who has trusted me with their special day and allowed me to be a small part of their memories. There is something incredibly special about helping people feel celebrated, important, and truly seen.
What started as something I did for my children turned into something I now get to do for so many others—and I couldn’t feel more blessed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely been a learning curve, especially when it comes to balloons! You never really know how the weather is going to affect them—whether it’s too hot, too cold or windy. And when you’re working outdoors, even the tiniest piece of grass can pop a balloon and completely change the look of your entire sculpture!
There’s definitely a lot of trial and error, patience, and learning that goes into creating these designs. But with every event, I learn something new, get a little better, and keep pushing myself to create something beautiful for my clients.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a certified event planner with a passion for creating unforgettable celebrations and making your special day as beautiful, unique, and stress-free as possible.
From event decorating and rentals to custom balloon installations, I offer a variety of services to help bring your vision to life. Balloons have become one of my specialties, and I absolutely love creating unique designs that make a statement and leave a lasting impression.
I’ve always been someone who loves to celebrate, and I’m incredibly proud to have turned that passion into something I can share with others.
One of the things I’m most proud of is building a business that my children can enjoy, be a part of, and hopefully carry on someday.
I truly love what I do, and there’s nothing better than helping create moments that people will remember for years to come.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Oh, definitely! By far, what started my love for creating with balloons goes all the way back to when I was a little girl.

My mom was a children’s pastor, and she would have me dress up as a clown and make and pass out balloon animals to children at parades and other events.

I never could have imagined back then that those childhood memories would eventually turn into something I would love doing as an adult.

Looking back, it’s pretty special to realize that something that started as a fun childhood experience has come full circle and become such a big part of what I do today.
