Meet Matthew Entringer of Street Support KC & Digital Rabbit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Entringer.

Hi Matthew, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my nonprofit Street Support KC in 2023. What started as a simple effort to distribute clothing and essentials to individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Kansas City quickly grew into a structured, monthly outreach. As the organization expanded, I built the website myself to help communicate our mission, attract volunteers, and raise support. Almost immediately, I saw the impact a high-quality, well-optimized website could make. Donations increased, volunteer sign-ups became more consistent, and we were able to tell our story in a much more compelling way.

That experience became the catalyst for my website design and SEO company Digital Rabbit. I realized many small businesses and nonprofits were doing meaningful work but lacked the digital infrastructure to grow. So I launched Digital Rabbit to help Kansas City organizations build strong websites and implement SEO strategies that generate long-term visibility and sustainable growth.

Today, I lead both efforts. Street Support KC has now served more than 1,000 individuals annually and distributed over $60,000 in goods last year alone. Through Digital Rabbit, I work with small businesses and mission-driven organizations across Kansas City to help them strengthen their online presence and scale their impact.

At the core, both ventures are about building systems that create measurable, lasting results — whether that’s through community outreach or digital growth.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Starting Street Support KC taught me quickly that passion alone isn’t enough — systems, structure, and consistency matter just as much. In the early days, everything depended on me: organizing volunteers, securing donations, communicating with partners, and physically showing up to distribute supplies. Balancing that while working full-time required discipline and long-term thinking.

There were also challenges around sustainability. Building trust in the community, establishing partnerships, and creating reliable processes took time. You don’t build credibility overnight — especially when you’re asking people to volunteer or donate.

With Digital Rabbit, the challenge was different. Moving from doing digital marketing inside an organization to building a client-based business meant learning how to sell, price services properly, and communicate value clearly. Early on, I underpriced projects and said yes to too much. Over time, I’ve learned that clarity, boundaries, and positioning matter just as much as technical skill.

What I’ve realized through both organizations is that growth is less about big breakthroughs and more about steady, consistent execution. Neither has been overnight success — but both have grown because of discipline, systems, and a focus on long-term impact.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Street Support KC & Digital Rabbit?
Street Support KC is a grassroots nonprofit organization focused on serving individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Kansas City. What began as a small effort to distribute clothing and essential supplies has grown into a structured monthly outreach serving over 1,000 individuals annually and distributing more than $60,000 in goods last year alone. We operate with consistency, partnerships, and systems — including collaboration with medical resident students for basic wound care and vitals checks and working as an official distribution partner of Harvesters Community Food Network. What sets Street Support KC apart is its reliability and organization. We show up every month, rain or shine, with volunteers, supplies, and a commitment to treating people with dignity.

Digital Rabbit grew directly out of that experience. After building the website and digital infrastructure for Street Support KC, I saw firsthand how a strong online presence could increase donations, attract volunteers, and amplify impact. That realization led me to launch Digital Rabbit, a Kansas City-based web design and SEO consultancy focused on helping small businesses and nonprofits strengthen their digital visibility.

Digital Rabbit specializes in custom website design, local SEO strategy, and building digital systems that generate measurable growth. We work closely with Kansas City businesses and mission-driven organizations to create websites that don’t just look good, but rank well, convert effectively, and support long-term growth.

Both organizations are rooted in the same philosophy: build sustainable systems that create lasting impact. Whether it’s serving our most vulnerable neighbors through consistent outreach or helping Kansas City businesses grow through strategic digital positioning, the goal is the same — create structure, clarity, and measurable results that compound over time.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is building things that create lasting impact — not just short-term results. Whether it’s serving individuals experiencing homelessness through Street Support KC or helping Kansas City businesses grow through Digital Rabbit, I’m motivated by sustainability and real outcomes.

With Street Support KC, that means showing up consistently and creating programs that allow us to serve people with dignity month after month. It’s easy to do one event; it’s much harder to build something that endures. Knowing that our outreach is reliable and that people can count on us matters deeply to me.

With Digital Rabbit, it means helping organizations build digital foundations that don’t just look impressive but actually drive measurable growth. A well-built website or strong SEO strategy can change the trajectory of a small business or nonprofit. I care about building infrastructure that continues working long after the initial launch.

At the core, what matters most is stewardship — of time, resources, and opportunity. I believe if you’re going to build something, it should be thoughtful, structured, and designed to last. Impact that compounds over time is what I find most meaningful.
