Today we’d like to introduce you to Lil Ray.

Hi Lil, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I was always a big fan of music and rappers. My favorite Rapper is Nipsey Hussle because of what he talks about, his message, and motivates you. I went to the studio with my old friends, and he put on a beat. I went home, wrote to it, and went to record it. Once I recorded it, promoted it, and let the outside world hear my hidden talent, I realized I was better than I thought.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
Smooth? No, it’s a challenge every day. Trying to maintain how you feel and trying to maintain a good work ethic is difficult. You will have days where you want to give up and days where you feel like you are on top of the world. It’s all about if you have gone give up or keep fighting! I can say that everything is falling right into place for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
My Name is Lil Ray, and I am a 23-year-old upcoming rapper from Kansas City, Mo. I make music, work out, and do some relaxing here and there. I am most proud of how much I kept going knowing I wanted to stop making music because I felt like I wasn’t getting the love I should be getting. What sets me apart from others is how I rap about what goes on with me, not the next man. I was never worried about anybody else because this is my life, and I’m doing what I want to do with it.

What matters most to you?
Success and my circle are important to me. The reason behind that is that my circle is the reason I do what I do, go as hard as I do, and grind like there is no tomorrow. Knowing people are looking and watching my move and how I move, I must move a certain way, with a certain group.
