Today we’d like to introduce you to Lela Shaw.
Hi Lela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started doing my own hair when I was 7 years old. My mother also braided hair when I was growing up . I grew up around a lot of family members that were hair stylist.. I started doing other people’s hair for profit when I was 15 once people would wonder who did my hair and I’d tell them I did it myself and they would be surprised.. from there on my clientele grew from word of mouth .
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t always smooth trying to learn business and being that alot of people aren’t willing to help. I had to learn everything on my own.. it was a lot of sleepless nights from buying ebooks to researching on YouTube how to run a successful business . Any information I ran across I tried to apply it so I could learn from any mistakes along the way
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
