Hello, I am Laurie Guzman aka Laurie With A Story. My team and I help business owners and business leaders connect with the right opportunities driving business and people to them with the goal to bring them additional revenue, brand awareness, right people to grow both their business bottom line as well as their core team.

J.K. Rowling said it best: “There’s always room for a story that can transport people to another place.” For most of us, our desire to share our stories is blocked by limiting beliefs.

But imagine a world where everything and everyone is tied together – everlasting and rich in human connection, a world that thrives on growth. Picture a place where people connect to themselves and those around them; humanity operates at the core of all things here, with the human experience being the greatest catalyst for change.

That’s the vision that drives me to action.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
You don’t know what you don’t know when you launch a new business. So much of a life of an entrepreneur is built from the mistakes the oversights the lack of experience or resources that we can’t predict until the circumstances or the business or people within it often dictate what we need or what we should do.

Learning the hard way is not the way to go but I like so many leads their businesses this way My business was birthing a new baby. No one hands you the parent manual, it was a similar experience for me as a business owner. There were many moments of great fear. Employees who reach a place where they feel no fear.

I experienced on 2 occasions employees who tried hard to take clients and disrupt my organization because they felt they could do it better, they were ready to take the plunge and launch their own virtual assistance organization. Fortunately, being a powerhouse relationship builder, we overcame these tremendous difficult times.

I lived in fear of running out of money, being short-staffed, not having the right support and knowledge of how to handle major growing pains as my business became bigger than I could ever imagine. Struggling without guidance and mentorship creates obstacles and great pain for owners.

You become on display. Owning a business is like standing before an audience naked, you are exposed both personally and professionally. It is not for the weak but the rewards of how it transformed me as a human being are beyond any struggles I endured.

I struggled to hold onto my dreams and desires to own a business. Most entrepreneurs like myself have quit their business many times for a few hours, a day, a few days. Being able to allow the weak moments to subside is a tremendous endeavor to overcome. The struggles brought painful gifts.

I am grateful to be a fellow life-changer, a passionate caretaker of serial entrepreneurs Inside Stories. The road has been difficult but the journey that I have traveled and where it is taking me, I’d do it all over again and run this time and would not look back.
