Meet Larissa Uredi of No-Where Consultants

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larissa Uredi.

Hi Larissa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all began in 2015 when we got back from a cycling tour around Europe. My partner and I had quit our jobs, sold our stuff and hit the big life reset button. When we got home, after endless job interviews and applications, I had this nagging sensation that I just did not want to go back to working for other people. I’d put in so many hours helping other people build their brand and their businesses that I was ready to invest in myself for once. So I talked to my partner and together, we launched the current iteration of No-Where Consultants. What started as a software consulting company has blossomed into a full-service digital strategy agency. It’s been quite the ride–full of doubt and trial and error.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh lordy no–the process of running your own business is tough. And there’s a real distinction between being a freelancer for hire and really trying to build a company with a team. I feel like we’ve grown up more in the last year and a half than we have in our first 3-4 years in business simply because of the challenges we’ve undertaken. We hired our first full-time employee right before the pandemic kicked in, we’ve been pursuing bigger and more diverse clients and we’ve recently been granted our B-Corporation status, which is a massive undertaking in and of itself.

For me personally, the biggest struggles have been tied to learning how to define my leadership style, step into my own roles as a leader in my community and within the business and find the right balance between building infrastructure and the pure grit hustle of finding new clients and communities to serve.

We have recently been granted our B-Corporation status which is a third-party designation that formalizes our mission and vision statements into something measurable.
