Today we’d like to introduce you to Larissa Olczak

Hi Larissa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a fascination with health, especially when it comes to nutrition. In today’s world, it can feel really tough to navigate, and I’ve seen so many people grappling with issues like hormone imbalances and metabolic health challenges. My passion is helping folks regain control of their metabolic health, which essentially means how well our bodies turn food into energy and manage important functions like blood sugar, cholesterol, and weight. This is crucial because our metabolic health affects everything from our energy levels to our mood and overall well-being.

As I started noticing more people struggling with their health, I knew I had to dig deeper into this world. That led me to study herbalism and nutrition, where I discovered just how powerful food can be in healing our bodies. I became a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner at the Nutritional Therapy Association, learning about holistic ways to support health through food, sleep, stress management, and yes—exercise.

After graduation, I was thrilled to open my own practice, focusing on metabolic health. I truly enjoy blending traditional health methods with modern science to create personalized solutions that work for each individual. I totally get that taking charge of your health can feel overwhelming, especially with so many choices out there. That’s why I emphasize simple strategies to find balance—think sunshine, wholesome foods, good sleep, effective stress management, and a supportive community.

As I grow in my practice, I’m increasingly focusing on detoxing—this includes things like sweating, embracing natural fiber clothing, and creating a non-toxic home to help lower our toxic burden.

On top of that, I’ve written two cookbooks packed with easy, healthy recipes that you can whip up in 30 minutes or less—perfect for those busy days! I also love sharing my favorite health hacks and nutrition tips to help make wellness more approachable for everyone.

Cooking is a true joy for me, and I’m always excited to support my clients while creating new recipes that inspire healthy living. Watching their progress and being part of their journeys toward better health is incredibly rewarding!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the hardest parts of working in the wellness world is combating all the misinformation that’s out there. With so many trends, diets, and conflicting advice flooding social media and the internet, it’s easy for people to feel overwhelmed and unsure of what’s best for them. Early on, I realized that part of my role wasn’t just providing guidance—it was helping people cut through the noise and tune into what their own bodies need.

It’s so easy to get swept up in the latest fad or “quick fix,” but the truth is that health isn’t one-size-fits-all. What works for one person might not work for another, and that’s okay. My goal has always been to help clients feel empowered in their health choices, teaching them how to listen to their bodies rather than jumping on every new trend that comes along. By focusing on sustainable habits and a personalized approach, I’ve seen people regain confidence in their ability to make decisions that support their long-term well-being, without the constant pressure to keep up with whatever is “in” at the moment.

Taking control of your health can be an emotional, challenging, yet ultimately rewarding journey. I remind my clients that healing isn’t linear; there will be ups and downs along the way. The challenges are absolutely worth it when I see people begin to realize what truly works for them. Watching clients reach their health goals—whether it’s weight loss, improved energy, or better digestion—is incredibly fulfilling. There’s nothing like the moment when they experience firsthand the benefits of trusting their bodies and embracing a healthier lifestyle that’s tailored to their unique needs. Those transformations make all the hard work worthwhile.

We’ve been impressed with Well by Larissa, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Functional Nutritionist specializing in metabolic health, detoxification, and I’m also a cookbook author. My approach centers around the interconnectedness of food, nervous system regulation, and sleep management, all of which play vital roles in metabolic health. What sets me apart is my commitment to blending traditional and holistic methods with modern science to create a balanced, natural approach to health.

I advocate for clean ingredients across all aspects of life, including food, beauty products, natural fiber clothing, and household items. My goal is to teach people how to eliminate toxins from their lives and embrace healthier, more sustainable choices.

My brand embodies a philosophy of natural simplicity, and I’m particularly excited about the upcoming launch of my natural fiber loungewear & home line, which reflects my commitment to promoting wellness in every facet of life. I want readers to know that my offerings are rooted in empowering individuals to take control of their health with sustainable practices, fostering a lifestyle that is both healthy and environmentally conscious.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy? There’s something truly magical about being in the sun, especially by the ocean. For me, the ultimate joy comes from drinking a cappuccino and savoring a delicious plate of food in the sun next to the ocean in Mallorca. That combination of warmth, good food, and stunning views brings me so much joy. I believe anything related to the sun is healing, and the ocean has a calming effect that nurtures my spirit.

I find happiness in a variety of experiences, from enjoying slow mornings with my dog and partner, curled up in bed with a book and a coffee, to eating outside in the sun and gathering around bonfires, where laughter flows nonstop. I love exploring new cities, discovering hidden speakeasies, and attending concerts, especially when they feature country music.

I also cherish the beauty of fresh flowers, spending time on farms, gardening, and thrifting for unique treasures. Lounging in the sun, floating down a river, and skiing in the winter all bring me joy. Sundays are special for baking, whether it’s fresh bread or sweet treats, and I savor the taste of fresh fruit that reminds me of the seasons.

At home, my happiness often revolves around my dog, who brings so much love and companionship into my life. Dinner parties with friends create lasting memories, and whether I’m whipping up something in my kitchen or enjoying a meal out, the act of gathering around food creates a sense of community that I truly value.
