Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Joshelle

Hi Kelly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
First of all, thanks to Voyage KC for considering me!

My story? I’m just a girl born in KCMO and raised in Wyandotte who enjoys spontaneous things! I attended school at Academie Lafayette and Washington High. Graduated and immediately indulged into my favorite hobbies, traveling and learning!

I’m just a girl that grew up knowing she was different. I discover the future day by day– I don’t follow a written path; I focus on what I can achieve in the future. I respond to things as they occur. I grow when I learn and share.

Being a mother and having a strong feeling that I’ll leave this Earth rich puts a fire under my butt to get stuff done!

It’s funny when people ask how I got into modeling and photography because it helped me realize that I’ve BEEN doing this lol. I got my first Kodak [camera] at 10 years old and would take pictures of myself in the mirror after playing dress-up.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A few obstacles I ran into is,

1. Building myself up to be a leader. Learning is time-consuming.
2. Next, staying consistent when I had every right to quit.
3. Growing. Growth is emotionally and financially expensive, I understand. I want to show people that life is meant to be fun! Not draining! Stuff happens but don’t take it personal because that’s just life talking to you to put you back where you belong.
