Meet Jeno Black

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeno Black.

Hi Jeno, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started drawing for fun at about eight drawing contests with my immediate family which led me to really wanna explore it, basketball was one of my greatest passions while I majored in art the little time I was in college which inspired tattooing and exploring the art world even further. So I began studying day in day out practicing on both fake and real skin, I refused to fail so I kept going and even till this very day I still study and find ways to better me.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t always smooth, I’ve dealt with complaints bout tattoos not staying or being infected there are always pros and cons but earlier in my career, those were some of the main focuses and complaints I had to fix over time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I tattoo, design clothes, shoes, and paint buildings. I love art. I love to draw. I love to make people smile with my art. I feel like I specialize in art itself in general because there is nothing I don’t like about art nor that I don’t try to do… my proudest moment was excepting it as my gift and embracing it, it’s taking me places and I expect to go even more in future… what makes me different is my dedication my drive my hustle my ambition and goals I wanna own and do so much in the art world that I gotta keep reminding myself I’m not finished it’s just the beginning still.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
To always be alert, clean and just be cautious to your surroundings fr.
