Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Chacon. Jenny was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Double Board-Certified Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Clive Persaud.

Hi Jenny, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
It’s actually pretty ironic how it all got started for me. Honestly, what initiated my interest in the world of post operative care was a personal battle I endured. I developed an infection after a breast augmentation surgery I received in 2018. That experience left me extremely vulnerable, because I jumped into this life altering decision without any proper guidance, and ultimately it forced me to become my own advocate. In the process of discovering my voice during that unfortunate circumstance, I became increasingly curious and fascinated by the concept of human anatomy and especially skin care. My enthusiasm led me to aesthetics school where I soon graduated as a Medical Aesthetician. Eventually, I embarked on a trip to my native country of Colombia, where I advanced my studies in post operative care, body contouring and lymphatic drainage. While in Colombia, I sought reconstructive surgery for my breasts. My experience with international surgical treatment provided me with a new perspective on the deficiencies of post operative care in the United States. At that point, I became “skinspired”to create a change and in 2019 Skinspired Aesthetics was born.

Please tell us more about your practice.
After SkinSpired Aesthetics emerged, I made a vow to myself that I would provide my industry with the very pristine level of care I expected to receive when I underwent my first surgery. I hold myself to a very high standard and aim to deliver an integrity based-approach with all my clients. I learned to use any shame or embarrassment I ever felt from my botched surgical experience as fuel to direct my appreciation to the beautiful aspects of cosmetic surgery. At Skinspired Aesthetics, our goal and greatest motivation is helping our patients build confidence in themselves. I never want to leave a client feeling insecure or vulnerable the way I felt after my initial surgery. I believe my own personal surgical journey is what sets me apart. I am immensely proud to have built a brand that has earned such an exceptional reputation within my community and the trustworthy providers in Tampa Bay. We’ve graciously earned so much of our respect due to the significance we place on educating our clients and showering them with the TLC they deserve. The education and trust is especially important now as in late 2022 there was a surge in “flyby” trainings of aestheticians which only created more chaos and mistrust in the industry due to the absence of state and federal regulations.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Dr. Clive Persaud of Cosmesis by Persaud, PLLC and we really admire him and what he has built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Dr. Persaud and Cosmesis by Persaud, PLLC.

Dr. Persaud and I met originally by happenstance. I was actually helping another doctor in the OR when Dr. Persaud came to visit and meet up with his colleague. We got to chatting and I learned he was a Double Board-Certified Cosmetic Surgeon who specializes in the breast, body and face, including liposuction. We shared a very candid conversation about the process of surgeries and post operative care, in which we both equally exchanged questions, wisdom and ideas. Through our chat I recognized a surplus of values we shared and I knew this was a partnership I wanted to build. From there we exchanged contacts and our collaboration began right away. What I personally admire about Dr. Persaud is his nurturing bedside manner. He’s what I like to call a “progressive” surgeon, because he understands that a patient’s journey doesn’t end with surgery, it begins. After surgery, patients need extended care that will support them through their healing journey both mentally and physically. Patients who undergo surgery have the potential to face a whirlwind of emotions, so working with a provider like Dr. Persaud, who can guide his patient’s using honorable and enlightening information can lead to impressive results. It tugs at my heart strings to be able to join forces with a doctor who genuinely values his patients and prides himself in his awareness to detail. He truly delivers such a meticulous surgical performance, making sure that each incision and suture is as clean and minimal as possible. The quality he brings to the table and this industry is unmatched, and it reflects in how his patients perceive him. I am always pleased to share with him such incredible feedback from his patients to ensure their recovery experience is happy and healthy.
