Meet Jennifer Yarbrough of Land Agent, Midwest Land Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Yarbrough.

Hi Jennifer, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been an outside kind of girl. So, naturally having a career where I spend most of my time outside and meeting new people is highly enjoyable. My husband and I bought our first property in 2010 and built a home on it. Being a contractor’s daughter, this was a dream. I was working in farm land lending at the time as well as a short stint in ag implement sales when we decided to move to Kansas from Southern Missouri. That is when we got a taste for real estate. We bought and sold a few different farms before we landed at the place we call home now. During that process, I decided that I could see myself doing land sales for a living especially with my lending background. I made a career change and here I am!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some parts have been easy, mainly knowing the exact brokerage that I wanted to work for: Midwest Land Group! But other parts have presented a challenge. The fact is, everyone knows at least 1 real estate agent if not multiple. The hardest part is getting my name out there and building a reputation. But, that is one thing that being an agent with Midwest Land Group has helped me overcome! We have a high standard of service that everyone who has been a client of us knows and has come to respect and appreciate. That makes my job a bit easier!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a land agent with Midwest Land Group. I am also a mother and a wife who loves all things outdoors. My mission is to help people with their dreams of becoming a landowner and helping landowners with their needs. I am an outdoorswoman as well, so I am able to provide assistance with recreational properties among other kinds of land too. What people don’t realize is that the dream of land ownership isn’t as out of reach as they might think!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
At one time, I was the holder of 5 women’s world records for freshwater spearfishing! I believe a few of them have been broken now, but that’s what records are for!
