Meet Iyreze of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Iyreze.

Hi Iyreze, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I been knowing music all my life. My father was a local KC rapper so I’ve around music a lot, and eventually started to get involved around middle school. I was infatuated with the rap battle scene, cyphers, and freestyling in general. I didn’t release my first song until I was 18 due to life changes and lack of self confidence. Ever since I been working on my craft. I was releasing music under “Reezo Gendo” now i am releasing music under Iyreze.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a bumpy road but I enjoy the grit and grind. I dealt with a lot of struggles as far as money hardships, finding my support system, and finding my musical niche. Definitely has been a process but wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a rapper/artist I make all types of music but I specialize in the gift of gab, giving game, being that voice to enjoy make you chill and relax or be amped to make some money. I’m most proud of investing in myself and creating opportunities that can further me in this field. I strive on individuality so I make sure I’m myself all the time which sets me apart from others, I have my own style, and my own tone. I have a interesting outlook on a lot of things that I have yet to see duplicated.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Kansas City is a beautiful city, strives on a lot of culture that is filled with a lot talented people all over the metro. I wouldn’t want to be from anywhere else but the city has a lot of negativity and people that just don’t wanna come together and really build something. One of the worst things i hate about the city is egos. Egos is the main thing holding the city back.
