Meet Devin Bagnoli of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin Bagnoli.

Hi Devin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My names Devin Bagnoli, I’m a 28 year old professional skateboarder, from Daytona Beach, Florida. Living in both Kansas City & Los Angeles. My older brother Ricky put me on a skateboard before I could walk and I’ve been addicted ever since. I also enjoy riding motorcycles and actually worked in the motorcycle business from the ages 17-21, and I saved up enough money in those years to move out of Florida and pursue the skateboard dream!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely was a rough road to get to where I am today, but it was all worth it and I wouldn’t change a thing. Like I said my childhood was rough so I was forced to work and have responsibilities at a lot younger of an age than most. Moved out of Florida after saving up enough money, and was off to pursue a skateboard dream not knowing what the outcome was going to be, end up getting a few sponsors in that first year of moving out, and then into my second year got my first paycheck from a sponsor, and then into the next year was skateboarding full time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am Professional skateboarder, but on my down time or if I’m injured, I love to draw and make art, I love traditional tattoos so I try to draw what I would think would be a cool tattoo flash! I also really love riding motorcycles, it’s very therapeutic to me to take a ride through nature, I also like to go on hikes and explore out in nature as well.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love how laid back Kansas City is, especially living in Los Angeles as well it’s nice to come here and not be so fast paced. Everyone is also very kind and friendly every where I go in KC, and I love all the food here, some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had in my life. I also love to go explore outside of the city a little bit, lots of pretty nature, rivers, farmland, with lots of cool history. I also love alot of the old style preserved buildings that are all through out the city up and running to this day, makes me feel like I’m going back in time! Things I don’t love about Kansas City is things I have no control over haha, it can get very hot weather here and very cold snowy weather, which is something I’m not really used to haha, other than that, no complaints!
