Meet Cure La Vie of Parkville, MO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cure La Vie.

Hi Cure La Vie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our story began in a way that feels almost serendipitous. Four of us, all mothers at our children’s Christian school, came together through volunteer work. We quickly became friends, not just because of our shared experiences as moms but because we also had a mutual frustration—we couldn’t find skincare products that were both natural and effective.

One cold morning, our conversation shifted to the struggle of finding a solution for dry skin. One of us, almost by instinct, reached into her purse and pulled out this small, plain tin—no label, just something she had been using. We passed it around, and it got us thinking: why couldn’t we create something like this, but on a larger scale, that was both safe and trustworthy for families?

That was the spark that ignited what became Cure La Vie. From the start, we knew we wanted more than just another skincare line. We were fueled by a passion for selecting the highest-quality ingredients, chosen for their effectiveness and their ability to soothe and nourish the skin. Every product we create is formulated with ingredients that truly benefit the skin, chosen for their purity and natural healing properties.

Today, we’re proud to be a Christian-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned business. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come—from that simple idea shared over coffee to a company that families rely on. It’s been a journey of learning, growth, and above all, staying true to our mission: providing effective skincare made with the finest natural ingredients, all crafted with love and integrity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not smooth—but every step has been a learning experience. We were starting from scratch, so there were countless questions and decisions to navigate. One of the very first steps was naming the brand. We loved the name Cure La Vie, and wanted to make sure it was truly ours, so we worked with an attorney to secure the trademark from the beginning. That felt like our first “official” move—but there was still so much ahead.

We knew we had a wonderful product that people needed, but everything else was new: setting up an online business, finding the right suppliers, choosing the best packaging, building a website, and creating a customer experience that reflected our values. Every choice felt important, and sometimes overwhelming. But we took it one decision at a time and leaned into the process.

While the road hasn’t been easy, it’s been incredibly rewarding—and we’re proud of how far Cure La Vie has come.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Cure La Vie, we create skincare products that are clean, simple, and rooted in nature—and we do it with integrity. Our mission is to help people feel safe and cared for in their daily routines. We specialize in handcrafted products made with ingredients like dry-rendered grass-fed tallow (for purity and maximum skin benefit), organic oils, and therapeutic-grade essential oils. Every ingredient we use is chosen with intention, and nothing makes it in unless it meets our high standards for purity, effectiveness, and transparency.

We’re also very mindful about incorporating herbs and botanicals that promote healing. For example, many skincare brands use frankincense essential oil in their face products. At Cure La Vie, we go a step further and incorporate raw frankincense resin in the formulation of our signature face oil, LAVISH. This gives customers the added benefit of boswellic acid, a powerful skin-revitalizing compound that’s not found in the essential oil alone.

We’re known for being a brand people trust—not just because of our ingredients, but because of who we are. As a Christian-, woman-, and veteran-owned business, our values are at the center of everything we do. We’re proud to be a company that leads with purpose, not just product.

What sets us apart is our commitment to doing things the right way and creating products that truly nourish the skin while supporting long-term wellness. We’re also proud of the community we’re building—people who care deeply about what goes on their skin and appreciate our honest, grounded approach to skincare.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The skincare industry is definitely evolving, and we believe it’s moving toward a more ingredient-conscious and transparency-driven future. More people are becoming aware of what they’re putting on their skin—and they’re looking beyond just pretty packaging or trendy buzzwords. They want real ingredients with real benefits, and they’re doing their research. That shift aligns perfectly with what Cure La Vie is all about.

We expect to see continued demand for simple, high-quality, and truly clean skincare—especially products that use traditional, time-tested ingredients like tallow, herbs, and botanicals. People are beginning to appreciate the wisdom behind these natural ingredients, and they’re looking for brands that take the time to do things right.

As for us, our vision is to increase our presence in retail stores. We’re actively working toward getting Cure La Vie on the shelves of spas and upscale boutiques where customers are already seeking high-quality, intentional skincare. We’re excited about that growth and the opportunity to bring our products to more people in hands-on, sensory environments where the quality can speak for itself.
