Today we’d like to introduce you to Candy Masuch.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello! I am so pleased to be a full time working realtor in beautiful Kansas City Metro! I moved to North Overland Park in 1991 from Las Vegas, NV. This was just in time for my freshmen year of high school. I grew to love the areas of Northeast Johnson County, Westport, Plaza, Brookside and Waldo during that time. I graduated in 1995 then went to UCM for a year before returning to Kansas City. After raising 3 kids and working an 18-year career in business as an Executive Assistant, I changed direction in 2018 and discovered my passion for Real Estate. Since becoming a Realtor® I have discovered the vast beauty of the city I live in that I hadn’t known before. Becoming a Realtor® has transformed my life in countless ways; allowing me to build meaningful relationships while making a lasting impact both professionally and personally. I am deeply committed to serving our community and am continuing to look for more ways to do more. I enjoy spending time with my husband, kids and grandson, playing with my dogs, creating art, and traveling the world! In 2025, my son Chris Closser joined the team, bringing a shared passion for real estate, serving others, and community involvement. Outside of work, Chris enjoys the hunting, fishing, boating and golfing. Together, we are focused on delivering thoughtful, client-centered service rooted in integrity and purpose.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like many in real estate, my journey has included its share of challenges. COVID disrupted the market in unexpected ways, and navigating the economic ups and downs since then has required constant adaptability. Those periods tested my resilience, but they also sharpened my skills, strengthened my relationships, and reinforced the importance of staying flexible and client-focused no matter the market conditions.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We specialize in residential real estate resale, helping buyers and sellers navigate every step of the transaction with confidence. Our team is known for strong negotiation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an exceptionally high level of client care. We’re responsive, accessible, and fully invested in our clients, whether it’s day or night.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to relationships over transactions. We take the time to educate our clients, advocate fiercely on their behalf, and ensure nothing is overlooked. Brand-wise, we’re most proud of our dedication to giving back to the community. In 2025, we partnered with the Salvation Army for a coat drive, an initiative that reflects our belief that real estate is not just about homes, but about people. We want readers to know that our brand is built on trust, service, and making a positive impact both for our clients and our community.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Mentorship and networking have been essential throughout my career, and that hasn’t changed even after being in the business for some time. I’m a firm believer in always learning and growing. We actively seek out mentors and make a point to surround ourselves with immensely knowledgeable professionals who challenge us and push us to be better. Being open, curious, and willing to learn from others has been one of the most valuable tools in our professional growth.
