Meet Brooke & Regan Romi & Ross of Kansas City, MO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke & Regan Romi & Ross

Hi Brooke & Regan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
A Little Rn’R has been 30 years in the making…we just had no idea! Regan and I have been friends since birth. When our parents met over 30 years ago, we had no idea what seeds were planted back then and what was going to blossom in the 30 years to follow. We are a testament to how getting involved and being active in your community can bring meaning, joy, friendship and purpose to your life. Our parents played in a co-ed softball league and hung out after the games every Friday night, allowing us to grow closer, spend summers together in our Elementary years and it just so happened that we grew up and were still interested in the same things!

The Spit Shake (for all our Sandlot fans out there) moment for us was our love of Country Music and our obsession with Gilmore Girls, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and One Tree Hill. As long as the streaming services will allow it, we have been able to remain each other’s constant just as these shows have been a constant in our lives. We have gone a couple years without talking or hanging out but no matter how much time has passed we have always picked right back up like we saw each other just yesterday!

We recently started catching up more frequently and the hours and hours we’d spend on the phone laughing, throwing each other witty comebacks and quoting song lyrics and our favorite tv shows and movies HAD to be shared with the world! We both would feel so good after we hung up that it was like we had the high school crush, phone with a cord (that our siblings might be eaves dropping in on), moment of no you hang up first! So, Brooke pulled the trigger! She added the podcast microphone package to her Amazon Cart, downloaded CapCut editing app to her laptop, and we frantically began searching Pinterest for all the tips, tricks, and how to’s of starting a podcast.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We will be the first to tell you that we by no means, are even close to having any idea what we are doing still! We would not be here today if it wasn’t for Google, YouTube, and Pinterest, honestly. We have literally just been googling our way through our podcast lives and probably just in general life as well! Brooke introduced the Simon Sinek way of work whether she realized it or not. We had a vision, came up with our why, set some values and goals in place and knew we wanted others to feel like they are right there in the room with each of us. We wanted our listeners to be “R friends” and to feel exactly the way we did after our conversations with each other, after they finished listening to our episode each week.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Brooke is doing her best with editing and piecing together each episode but it never failed there would be something she should have probably cut out or done differently and after the first few episodes we both decided that we were going to do as little editing possible. Not just because we couldn’t quite ever get that part nailed, but because we loved that it is so authentically, no ifs ands or buts about it, US. We are not the cookie cutter almost 30 year old women that filled our social media feeds or that we went to school with and we felt proud of that, honestly!

We can barely manage to ensure we are fed, bathed, the house is cleaned, dishes aren’t resembling a Mount Everest scene in the sink, and that our laundry baskets aren’t giving a tired and worn out look from over flowing for the 3rd week in a row…let alone adding babies into that mix quite yet. but guess what that is not the end of the world! We are originals. No Mayfair, Valencia, X-Pro II filters are needed, and that is what you get with A Little Rn’R. We wanted to share our authenticity and quick witted comebacks with anyone and everyone who will listen!

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
