Meet Bre Ferguson of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bre Ferguson

Hi Bre, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in Kansas City, my fascination with the entertainment industry was undeniable. I found myself captivated by the power of storytelling—watching interviews, talk shows, and feeling a deep connection with the voices that resonated through the airwaves. I grew up listening to Hot 103 Jamz and hearing radio personalities like Julee Jonez, Lady T and Angie Martinez inspired me. That passion led me to pursue a degree in Communications and Public Relations, with a minor in Broadcasting, setting the foundation for a career I believed was my calling.
While in college, I hosted my first weekly radio show on my campus station. After graduating, I took my first steps into the professional world as a Community Relations Intern at Carter Broadcast Group, better known as Hot 103 Jamz. Determined to immerse myself in the industry, I sought every opportunity to learn and grow which eventually opened the door for me to co-host my own show, Level Up, on 90.1FM in Kansas City.
Those connections and experiences led me to receive an opportunity at a major radio station in Houston, it felt like my dreams were aligning perfectly. But something in my spirit told me otherwise. My relationship with God was deepening, and I felt a clear conviction that this path wasn’t what He had planned for me. In obedience, I turned the offer down. A year later, I moved to Dallas, but instead of pursuing broadcasting, I decided to focus on building a career in corporate America, burying the dream I once held so dear.
However, purpose has a way of finding you—even when you try to run from it. While volunteering in my new city, I was asked to lead a Bible study for a service organization. Initially, I was hesitant. I wasn’t a “preacher”, and I didn’t feel qualified. But something in me—maybe it was all those years of journaling ideas and unspoken dreams—told me to give it a chance. What started as a one-time event quickly evolved into a biweekly gathering for young adults in downtown Dallas. For the first time in a long time, I felt aligned with something greater than myself.
Just as I embraced this new found calling, the pandemic hit, forcing us to pause in-person gatherings. It was during that period of isolation that my old passion began to resurface—radio. My love for radio transformed into podcasts which I had been listening to on a daily bases. I realized that my love for storytelling and connection had never left me; it had simply been waiting for the right moment to return. In late 2021, I took a leap of faith and launched Let It B the Podcast. What began as an audio-only platform soon expanded into video content, reaching audiences on YouTube and beyond. Through my podcast, I’ve had the privilege of sharing stories of faith, healing, and self-discovery, while also stepping into new opportunities—guest speaking, hosting community events, and mentoring others who are in search of discovering who they are called to be. My purpose isn’t just about broadcasting or podcasting—it’s about using my voice to inspire, connect, and uplift others just like the voices I heard growing up on the airwaves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been anything but smooth, but through every twist and turn, God has been guiding my steps. Turning down the job opportunity in Houston was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. I thought it was my ticket into the career I had always dreamed of, and when I walked away, it felt like my life was unraveling. I struggled to find stable work in Kansas City, leaving me discouraged and questioning my future. When I moved to Dallas, it was a complete leap of faith—I had no job lined up, little money, and no certainty about what was next. I stayed with my childhood mentor for months before I was able to get my own place. Job hopping became my reality, and with each transition, I wrestled with feelings of failure and doubt.
Then the pandemic hit, bringing another wave of challenges. The isolation made it difficult to stay inspired, and I eventually took a break from podcasting for over a year for my mental health. But when I decided to relaunch Let It B the Podcast, I committed to going higher. I expanded into video production, stepping into new roles as a producer, editor, and content creator. Each new challenge has stretched me in ways I never imagined, but with every step, I learned to lean on God’s grace to sustain me.
Being an entrepreneur is truly a faith walk; success is never guaranteed. Some days, I feel like I can conquer the world, and other days, it feels like the world has conquered me. But this journey has revealed the depth of my resilience, the strength of my calling, and the power of trusting in God’s plan. Every challenge has refined me, every setback has strengthened my faith, and every small victory has reminded me why I started. I have learned to release control and flow where God is leading me, even when the path is uncertain.
Even with the struggles, this has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I know that as long as I continue to walk in obedience and trust His plan, my steps are ordered. I am excited to see where He leads me next, and I pray that my journey inspires others to embrace their own with faith, courage, and unwavering hope.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am most proud of the journey—the closed doors, new connections, and unexpected detours that led me to where I am today. For a long time, I thought my dreams had been taken from me, but now I see that God was refining and redirecting me. Let It B the Podcast is a huge part of that journey. What started as a passion project has grown into a platform where people can find encouragement, faith, and real conversations about life’s journey. I love that I get to use my voice and my testimony to inspire others, to remind them that they are not alone, and to encourage them to trust the process of becoming who God has called them to be.
But my journey doesn’t stop at podcasting. I’m expanding into public speaking, consulting, and hosting workshops that help others share their voices and stories. I want to build a community where faith, healing, and purpose collide—a space where people can be seen, heard, and uplifted. Every step I take is rooted in my desire to serve, whether through storytelling, mentorship, or equipping others to walk boldly in their calling.
What sets me apart is that my mission has never been about fame or success as we see it—it has always been about people. My heart is for those who feel unseen, lost, or uncertain about their purpose. I know what it’s like to question your path, to wonder if you’re making the right moves, and to battle self-doubt. But I also know the power of faith, perseverance, and trusting God’s plan. I am living proof that He can take what feels broken and turn it into something beautiful.
So today, I stand proud—not just of the things I’ve built, but of the person I’ve become. I am proud of the woman who took a leap of faith, who didn’t let fear stop her, and who continues to walk boldly into the unknown, knowing that God is guiding every step and nothing is wasted in His hands.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people assume I’m naturally outgoing because of my social media, podcast and speaking opportunities, but I’m actually very introverted and a homebody at heart. I love quiet places, nature, and reading. I still get nervous before speaking to people or recording, even though connecting with others comes naturally to me. And honestly, small talk? It’s such a struggle for me. I do however really enjoy connecting with people.
Something else that may surprise people about me is my passion for health and wellness. I enjoy going to the gym, but for me, stewarding my health goes beyond just working out—it’s also about nutrition and being intentional about what I put into my body. I haven’t eaten meat in the last eight years, and I’m always exploring new ways to nourish myself holistically. Taking care of my body is just as important as taking care of my mind and spirit. And when I’m not in the gym, I love spending time in nature, going for hikes, and finding peaceful outdoor spaces to recharge.
