Meet Andrew Crain of Arc Lawn and land

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Crain.

Hi Andrew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
This journey started years ago when I was a kid mowing lawns for as many of the neighbors who would let me. I knew very early on that I’d much rather work for myself and that a traditional job wasn’t part of my plan.

I worked with other lawn care companies all throughout high-school learning different equipment and the process of growing a small business.

During that time I met Brayden Schrock (Future business Partner) we spent a lot of time together trying to figure out new ways to make money. Reselling was great for a short time. An attempted apparel company that never made it very far, and odd jobs for other local businesses.

By the time we graduated high-school we had a hand full of connections to the real-estate world many of them letting us know they had a ton of properties that needed upkeep and some full exterior rehab.

We took that as a sign too buy our first Truck and commercial Mower borrowed a trailer sat down and called anyone who might need our services. From property management, real estate agents and brokers.

Almost every dime we made we reinvested into better equipment.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We did not sell a ton of jobs at first other than with the people we had already knew. A lot of ups and downs by the end of our second year finally purchased our first plow truck.

That opened up a world of more problems with last year’s storms we took a serious beating but after countless days with no sleep and repeated break downs we came through profitable and ready to take on another season.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Arc Lawn and land ?
We primarily focus on what got us started, partnering with real-estate investors, to maintain property’s that are on market or need a lot of love before they’re ready for new owners.

We also try our best to take care of home owners a ton of people just do not have the time to maintain their yard anymore with busy schedules.

I think what separates us from other businesses that we offer a TON of different services most lawn companies only Mow lawns were a full service company. Occasionally we offer new services just because a new client mentions they need it.

This year we’re offering Holiday lighting!

What makes you happy?
Seeing growth, while that might be in myself, the business, my customers, and especially my team who helps make this happen. Seeing the growth and new opportunities makes all the hardship worth the fight.
