Meet Adam Spady of Monarch Finwater Fine Art

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Spady.

Hi Adam, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born and raised in the heart of the Midwest, I had a love for travel, culture, and art from a very young age. I would take trips around the country with my family as my mother was a travel agent and I quickly became a collector of unique things. Each time that we would go on a trip I would look to bring something home to remember from the journey. The trip that most impacted my destiny was a trip to Epcot in Orlando, Florida. It was there that I had first fallen in love with the world of art, history, and unique cultures. I knew then that one day, I would travel across the world aiming to see it all for myself.

I went to high school in a small town in Nebraska and graduated college at the University of South Dakota. Shortly after college, I moved to Kansas City and went to work in the automotive industry, and began investing in real estate. After several years of creating strong relationships and quickly ascending the corporate ladder, I moved to San Diego, CA to sell real estate and expand my horizons.

After I had my fair share of fun in sunny Southern California and had seen some success, I began to travel the world, seeing over 15 countries in the span of a year. It was during this time that our world was beginning to change forever from how we once knew it because of the pandemic. This is when I began to start looking at things differently and really got back to my roots.

Traveling the world, I began to seek and find the light in all the darkness. The heart, the soul, the life, and all the passion that I had experienced traveling that I wanted to hold on to and never forget as well as share with others. I began collecting again all sorts of art, experiences, and memories. I continued on this journey which led me to collect artwork from some of the best artists in the world both locally and internationally. I quickly over the next couple of years began to curate a world-renowned private art collection. Art has become a love of mine and has led me to meet and become friends with some very unique and interesting people.

This all led to Monarch Finwater Fine Art, where we aim to preserve history and recognize the great artists who have lived their life out of passion and purpose. Recognizing the great masters of our time is a great responsibility and one that we take very seriously. Monarch Finwater Fine Art now has a 7000+ sq ft creative space and gallery for artists to work, to provide hope, and to bring people together.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road but that is the beauty in all of it. Perhaps the earth was made round so that we don’t see too far down the road. We oftentimes set out on journeys full of hopes and expectations but when we arrive the destination never ends up looking as we had imagined that it would.

I have grown very fond of being out of my element and open to experiencing new things. As for my struggles, I have (in the past) fallen out of faith, lived a wild life, and been in some precarious situations. This, however, is how I ended back up where I first started right out of college in Kansas City. It is close to my friends and family and it is where I feel at home. It is hard to be still and patient but one of the things that I’ve learned along the way is that taking the quickest and most exciting path is not always the best path.

The healing and the beauty in the process of living can only be found by following the path that is true to you. In starting Monarch Finwater Fine Art, this is the first gallery experience for me. I am an art collector and though I can’t always see the end of where this path may go, I do always know the next step.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Monarch Finwater explores and experiences art, creativity, and spirituality. We aim to create a retail museum experience where people can come enjoy world-renowned, museum-featured artists’ work and can experience all types of cultures, customs, and countries in one experience. We have the largest collection of Australian Aboriginal paintings in the Midwest, the largest oversized international artworks in Kansas City, and some of the most creative and renowned artists in the world today.

We are fully inclusive of all creative art. Monarch Finwater Fine Art is not a white box or a simple concept with only a certain area of focus. We aim to Peak the interest in one way or another of each person who comes through our door. We aim to stand out in the world of overly complicated, very limited art gallery opportunities. One way we do this is with our building size and footprint. We can meet the needs of corporate developments, office buildings, and all commercial and residential spaces big and small. We have a longstanding record of both working with artists as well as working with leading developers and real estate professionals.

One example of our history of design and furnishing is right next door at Monarch Finwater Guest Suites. We have completely renovated and redesigned a couple of buildings on the same property to meet the needs of our traveling guests. There can be artwork found in each of the bedrooms both in the cottage house and the retreat house which is both exclusively owned by Monarch Finwater.

Not only do we offer a great experience when it comes to the world of arts, but we also have private chefs, professional massages, meditation clinics, and reiki healing professionals ready to assist and make for an all accompanying experience.
