Meet Abby Lynch & Aaron Parker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abby Lynch & Aaron Parker. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Abby has been a photographer for about a decade in varying genres. She has also worked with a renowned fashion photographer in the KC area. She has always had a passion for being able to capture and preserve those moments that would otherwise pass you by. She has been an art student since high school and has a great attention to detail and artistic vision. She wants to bring your vision to life! ​

Aaron has always been interested in photography and the mechanics behind it. He is the technical one, making sure he knows how and why everything works while bringing the client’s vision to life. He is also very artistic and has a knack for seeing things differently. For instance, he’s been doing airbrush art for over 15 years. He is excited to be combining all of those talents into this photography venture.

On a personal level, Abby and Aaron met in a way that can only be described as fate. The similarities in their backgrounds are uncanny. They came to realize a similar passion for art in many forms, and photography stuck out for both of them as the collective art form to pursue. One of their favorite things to do is to go on hikes with cameras in hand and shoot anything that catches their eye. They have four amazing kids (not goats) and spend a lot of time running them around to horseback riding, hockey, and lacrosse. They have a drive to live a beautiful life and they portray that through their photography. They love to capture those important moments for their family and they are honored to be able to do the same for you.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Anything of value isn’t smooth. We believe you shouldn’t go after something unless you could potentially fail. It’s definitely difficult managing our own work schedules, the schedules of three older kids, and a newborn infant while trying to schedule time with clients to get photos done.

Luckily, we’ve had amazing people to work with so far and things are working out and moving right along. We’re excited to add more time behind the camera to our regular routine. We both truly enjoy it and honestly hope to make this our full-time venture at some point.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Abby specializes in the actual photography, the logistics of the shoot, and all the nitty-gritty details (let’s keep that hair out of your face and the rogue fuzz off of your sweater!). Aaron is great at executing the vision and taking the photos into editing to bring them to the next level. We both love coming up with a plan and hearing what our clients want and then being able to bring that to life. We are both known for being creative and artistic, so it’s great when we get to do that for others.

We are so proud of bringing this business to fruition, but more importantly, having the opportunities to capture priceless moments for our clients. It truly is such an honor to be invited into your memories to make them last a lifetime.

We believe we are set apart because we truly care about our clients, we are spontaneous, and we have so much life experience between the two of us to bring a level of empathy and compassion that is rarely reached elsewhere and it comes across in our photos. We have a lot of trial and error under our belts to make your vision a reality. We are also open to feedback and criticism because we are so not perfect!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We believe that just showing up every day is so important to success in anything. Being consistent and having that grit to keep going and never give up is priceless. Sometimes you just have to move your feet! Even when it feels monotonous, even if you don’t feel excited about it . . . just do something small each day to contribute to your goal. Those small acts will add up and turn into something. We’re already seeing that happen!
