Yosary, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin? 
Hey, I’m Yosary, founder of LashbarKc. My journey started from my passion for everything related to art and beauty. In high school, I was into makeup and loved working with others for special occasions like homecomings and proms, etc. I then went to esthetician school, and I wanted to specifically get into skincare and facials; I truly thought I had found what I was meant to do. It wasn’t until a year later when I discovered eyelash extensions, that I realized I finally found my true passion! I was introduced to lash extensions through one amazing and intimate training in 2021 and never looked back. That’s when LashBar Kc was born! While I began perfecting my work and loved lashing, it left me wanting more. I began researching for the best quality products, the best online trainings, wanting to learn new techniques and bringing what I learned from others in different cities to Kansas City. As a result, my clientele flourished, and I was able to quit my job and go full-time into what I loved within 4 months! 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As much as I loved becoming my own boss, it wasn’t all that smooth in the beginning. I started in my parents living room and worked as much as I could to save up for a bigger space. When I first went full-time, I didn’t realize this also came with a lot of work within being the only one running my business. I was responding to messages/emails, phone calls, taking in deposits, and lashing itself daily. I was averagely taking in 4/5 clients a day, 6 days a week. Although I loved what I was doing, I realized it was taking a toll on me mentally and physically. Nobody warns you that the biggest obstacle you face is yourself. As I strived to help my clients achieve their best beauty, it was important that I took care of myself as well. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
LashBar Kc specializes in eyelash extensions and needleless lip fillers. I hand-make every eyelash to enhance your features, and the best part is every set is uniquely made just for you! One of my all-time favorite sets is my very own, The Butterfly set, whispy and flirty! I also specialize in Needle-less lip fillers, as there are many benefits for this service, such as increasing lip volume, enhancing your lip shape, and most importantly boosting your confidence! 

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Some of my all-time favorite podcasts are “Girls Gone Bible”, “LivBay Lash”, and “Girls Gone Boss.” These podcasts have helped me push through my career and just myself in the daily challenges I go through in life.
