Life & Work with Troy & Alexia Wilborn of Las Vegas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Troy & Alexia Wilborn.

Hi Troy & Alexia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Redeeming Furniture Co. was founded by husband and wife Troy and Alexia Wilborn in February 2026. This is a long-time hobby turned side venture, which has resulted in the betterment of over 142 local households, many of which are occupied by low-income families. An Estimated 55% of U.S. households report experiencing current financial hardship, with 15% accounting for severe hardship affecting their ability to maintain a basic standard of living. The Wilborns thank the many members of their community who have donated gently used and refurbishable home goods, allowing others to experience a well-furnished home that they otherwise could not afford. While they have only been earning an average of $1,500 per month in profits from Redeeming Furniture Co. since launching just 6 months ago, the couple is eager to continue bringing hope for the future to new customers, whom they refer to as their neighbors.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We are always reassessing the logistics of our business. Since we value serving our community over profits, we can sometimes run into operational financial setbacks. It can be difficult to run a service-based business as a follower of Christ. Since it operates mostly on your time and talents rather than on product sales, it’s easy to undercharge. You want to be able to provide the best value of service to as many people as possible. But if you are not earning enough to continue offering the service, you are not being a good steward of your time and talents. As a cash flow-based Christian company, we are focusing on resolving these issues before we hit the 1-year mark. Our long-term goal is for Redeeming Furniture Co. to be our sole source of income, allowing us to spend more time together as a family and transform the realities of at-home life for countless families in our community.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Redeeming Furniture Co. specializes in affordable full-home transformations through services including interior decorating, professional decluttering and organization, home deep cleaning, refurbishing furniture, upholstery cleaning, and selling restored pre-owned furniture at very competitive price points, offering delivery within the metropolitan area. Troy and Alexia do most of the cleaning and restorations and reuse or repurpose items their clients already own, as often as possible, to keep costs low. They include each household member in the design process to ensure the home will be welcoming and functional for all. Furnishings and home decor items are very affordable due to the donations they receive and their partnerships. Redeeming Furniture Co. is most known for its timeless French/Italian-inspired aesthetic, perfectly marrying vintage with modern, creating a home that is minimal enough to be easily maintained, yet curated to feel collected and reflect the unique journeys of each family.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Both of us occasionally consume content on faith, home decor and design, small-business success stories, money management, and trivia. These are mostly playing in the background as we work, do home chores, and care for our three children. Our top priority in our personal and professional lives is our relationship with God. When we’re actively reading and living out His word, the fruits of the Spirit are evident in every aspect of our lives. Reading the Bible daily is, in our opinion, the greatest resource anyone can apply to their life.
